Well made, really sturdy, excellent quality.
This chicken run is absolutely brilliant. Takes some time to assemble properly, really sturdy and excellent quality. I would 100% recommend. The tarp for the end is brilliant. I will be looking to add another tarp for the winter.

Great and straight-forward to assemble - but requires more work than I'd like!
This product is absolutely great. I was anticipating dozens of bolts to tighten, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is a light-weight tubular metal with press-pin assembly. It seems very sturdy. My grip with this is that you get 2 x rolls of mesh in 1 metre widths, which you have to cut to shape and this leaves hundreds of sharp pieces of wire protruding everywhere. You then have to use cable ties to cable tie lengths together, and annoyingly these cable ties are supplied in white for black mesh. It's just a little oversight that could so easily change the finished look.

Foxhunter chicken run review
I felt it was great value for money. Once the frame is up it feels quite unstable but once the mesh is on and attached then it really feels much more stable. I read some of the reviews before buying and one was about the white zip ties. I have shown one photo of the roof and as you will see I may have gone overboard with buying extra zip ties (I bought 500 zip ties 150mm x 2.5mm) but this held the mesh overlay inside and outside beautifully and looks much better. I did this on the side and front mesh joining seams. It took some time to complete the build project but I took time to do it carefully. When attaching the roof I started from the top apex and moved down the sides to affix to the frame with the zip ties. Seems to works well and evenly. Definitely worth having someone to help you when doing the mash. Also, another comment was that the white zip ties did not look nice when finished and I feel the black ones do look much nicer and blends in better. Very pleased and so are my chickens!!

Cheap.
After two years the fixings that the poles fit in to have rotted out so I suggest that you treat them regularly with oil or Hammerite them.

Good protection from predators & bird flu
I'm 71, female and raise poultry on a croft on the Outer Hebrides and had no problem putting this up, on my own and I managed it in an afternoon. Took a while to tie the wire on but if you've help it'll be quite quick. It is a substantial frame, I was surprised how substantial as I've bought one before from a different company and it only lasted one winter. The frame on this one is a good diameter and thickness and the joints are sprayed so I don't expect rusting to be a problem. From my point of view I could do with double the number of spikes; there are 16 holes in the base plates but only 8 spikes but as I've strapped all the supports to 4x4 fence posts against wind damage, I'm not expecting it to move to far. I've lost birds to Buzzards and an Eagle and with the threat of bird flu want protection for my birds. I breed traditional, heritage breeds so need to keep each type seprate and shall be buying more of this brand. Well worth the money.

Sturdy chicken run
The instructions for assembly were just ok - most of the frame is straightforward but the door/doorframe is trickier and could have done with some words and not just diagrams. It took me about 4-5 hours from start to finish, including cutting the chicken wire to size. I bought it mainly to house hens during the avian flu outbreak but the size of wire supplied would not keep small wild birds out so I used smaller wire I already had - this isn’t a criticism, it’s just for others to note if buying for the same reason as me. Overall, I’m very happy and would recommend
