Very good quality, uniformly-sized shrimp. Reading the critical reviews for this and other dried shrimp brands here on Amazon ("very salty", "slightly gritty", etc.), I'm wondering whether some purchasers realise that salted dried shrimp have to be soaked in plenty of fresh water for at least one hour before use, then drained and thoroughly rinsed. This is essential to remove surface salt and any tiny particles of sand or shell which may be clinging to the shrimp.

Smells heavily of ammonia when I opened it which obviously shows the heavy breakdown of protein in shrimps and is not palatible.Even more surprised that the expiry shows February 2025.Would not recommend this product,is a waste of money

Disliked the dish I made with this product. That may be due to the recipe but my husband and I disliked the taste and will not use again.

Very good dried river prawns I used to get it from my little Chinese food shops and I miss them so much because if I was not sure about some things one's would know why and how it's done. But because of this covid 19, we had to be safe if and do shopping online the only thing you find what you want but you over pay and or brexit .

Excellent product. I blended it to make it easier to add to food, a really great tasting product, definitely recommend.

I was looking for dried prawns for Burmese lahpet and it was perfect. It's expensive but there aren't really many other places to buy the product
