Great fixture for a small bathroom. Puts out good light.

When I first got this fixture, I was concerned about the brackets that hold the cover in place. I had seen the type with a full support ring (there are two types and they are otherwise identical) so I expected to be getting that version, but instead I received the version with three separate brackets. Now that the fixture is installed, I actually like this version better anyway. The brackets hold the cover in a notch that runs around the rim of the cover and hold it very securely.The fixture has everything you need to mount it on a standard lighting-electrical box, and is a cinch to install. I removed my old fixture and put this one in its place in about 10 minutes. What I like most about this fixture is the brightness! There are five settings, controlled by a small switch on the mounting base that give you a choice of soft yellowish light up to a daylight bright setting that's more in the bluish range (this is the setting I've used and is shown in my photos). One of my pictures is of my closet where I installed the fixture, which gives an idea of just how bright this gets. My closet was kind of dark with the old incandescent fixture, but now it's like stepping outside into daylight, which is great for seeing your clothes and colors as you're getting dressed. Great value for what it costs. I bought a second one for our other closet.

That aside, I found this to be a serious improvement over the old incandescent fixture that it replaced. Light output is excellent -- a little TOO excellent at the bluest settings. I dialed it down a couple of settings, and it is quite sufficient for the area (approximately 16' x 20' with a 7' ceiling). Of course, that is a subjective observation, some might want more light.So far I am very pleased with it. Hoping that time proves its longevity, we'll just have to wait and see.

Very solid light for the price. Very well packaged with good instructions. Glass cover is a nice feature compared to the plastic covers that are commonly supplied with similar fixtures.However:1. The mounting screw holes are about 1/16" too small for the screws. Easily remedied by drilling the mounting holes but this should have been caught during production. It's easiest to drill the holes slightly larger while the fixture is still on the ground. Just be sure to use a drill bit that is only very slightly larger than the screws so that you don't make the holes too large.2. The instructions do not state how to use the connectors. They are single use push-in connectors, so it's important to get the wiring right the first time. Alternatively, cut off the connectors and use wire nuts or Wego connectors instead.3. Not as bright as expected. Box says 2000 lumens, but that's probably with the cover removed. Probably more like 1600 lumens with the cover on. Suitable for a room up to about 10' x 10', maybe 12' x 12' absolute maximum.In spite of these minor issues, this is probably the best value for this style of light that I've found.

Wanted something less bulky. These arrived in good time, looked good, and were easy to put up. Looks simple but nice.

This is an attractive light. The glass shade looks much better than plastic. I install for of these lights. Installation can be a challenge depending on the position of the electrical junction box. The supplied screws are about 1 1/2" in length. They works fine if the junction box is close to the ceiling surface. If more than 1/4" below the surface it gets more difficult and beyond about 1/3" inch the provided screws won't work. The easiest approach is to just get two 2" 8x32 machine screws (Philips or combo head, per light) before you even start and if you find the junction box is a recessed a bit use the longer screws rather than those supplied. After connecting the wires (easy push in connectors) put your Phillips screw driver tip and shaft through a mounting hole in the light base to a screw head and then lide up the base over the screw head and twist the base to set it in the mounting slot. I did not install dimmers so have no opinion on that feature. The variable light temperature works as advertised.

This light is great- perfect size, quality, and options for my son's room. I wish there was one with a remote control available.
