Brother makes great printers
I absolutely LOVE this brother printer. My son, who is a computer geek, encouraged me to get a Brother L2350 which uses a cartridge for ink. I got so fed up with the expensive ink for other manufacturers printers. We print about 10 to 15 pages per day and the cartridge in the 2350 lasted over one year. That prompted me to look at a color printer for personal/business use and the 3720 is spot on. Don't expect to get great color piectures fromt this printer, it was not designed for this; graphics for documents and great. There are four cartridges which should last a year or so and the printer is much more reliable and funtional. Money well spent.

Quality Hardware, Forgo the App
I bought this for home use. Love this printer. It does everything you would expect and more. The print and color quality are exceptional. One observation: don't bother downloading the Brother Mobile App. I find that it rarely works and often enters into the spinning "loading" icon of death, requiring a termination of the process. But the printer is great without the app.

I'm happy enough with it.
It's was pretty easy to setup and configure. The print works well. I haven't scanned with it yet. There are lots of bits of paper and tape to remove before you start. I missed one inside and had a free jams. Android and Windows found the printer just by scanning the network. The duplex print works great. The Wi-Fi works well enough. I haven't scanned with it. It is only 300dpi, so I'm not expecting much from it.

It stops working after a few months and customer service is awful.
***Update after several months with a new reason this printer is the worst thing ever.... it counts pages, not toner. When the printer "thinks" the toner is empty, it just stops printing. There is no way to reset the page counts (unlike in previous Brother printers). There is no way to bypass this. You can't just print in black and white when a color cartidge is out. It just stops. There is no printing until you install a new cartridge. So, make sure you have plenty on hand because this sucker will stop and there's nothing you can do about it. If you are mid-big presentation or report? Too bad. Stop and go to the store because this printer won't budge. These toner cartridges have "chips" on them now in order to prevent you from reseting the page count. And get this: it counts pages if you aren't printing in black and white! You can lift it out and feel how heavy it is and know there is plenty of toner in there but - nope! You printed too many pages so now your printer won't let you do anything. All to make you have to spend a gazillion dollars on new toner cartridges even though you probably have months left of toner. Ridiculous. This is the worst product I have ever purchased. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I should have listened to the reviews. This printer stopped working after 7 months. Never was able to get the bluetooth stuff to work. Two days ago I got an error message saying I had installed a "non-genuine toner cartridge" when I had not changed anything or touched any toner since receiving it. It was still the original toner it came with. It wouldn't let me move past the error message to continue printing (unless I wanted to "void my warranty," which I was not going to do since it was already having issues). Off to customer service I go! The first attempt with customer service resulted in a disconnection (the agent just stopped responding... good times). He said I could just click "no" and keep right on printing, but the video shows that was not the case. After that he just disappeared and didn't respond anymore so I had to start a new chat with another agent. The next agent at least tried, but took an hour, had me disassembling the dang thing, and didn't solve any problems. They are sending me a new cyan cartridge, but I'm not feeling confident. I still can't print and am still seeing an error message. Just really, really bad. Don't buy it.

Dependable
Excellent printer. We had a smaller cheaper printer and it would lose WiFi connectivity all of the time. We got tired of it and invested some extra money into the Brother . It is dependable and it’s more professional than my old Epson. Excellent so far.

Easy setup
UPDATE: 02/06/26 Had to remove 1 star for that constant incorrect password whenever I try to update using the application on my desktop. It also errors out (Unable to reach server) when I try to log into my account from the same application. However, it does update when I do it from the printer itself, without having to enter my password. The printer does not seem to talk to my PC because even when the update is comleted on the printer itself, the PC application is still notifying me about a pending update. I have always used Epson and that old printer that used ink jet cartridges is the worst. I waste ink cleaning the printer head every single time before I print the actual documents I need, otherwise it would print with gaps or misaligned texts. This is my first Brother device. PROs: Setup was easy. Works on both proprietary and open source OS. My PC uses Linux Mint and I added it from network, and Linux has a native scanner application that picked it up without a problem. I also added it to my Windows-based laptop from network as well. Just like Linux, Windows 11, in this case, has a native fax and scanner application and it also detected the device right away. I did a quick test print after and it spit out super fast. The size is just right for what I was looking for. It fit the table where my old printer was. CONs: Nothing for now. Here's hoping this one will not give me the same issues that my old printer did. Also hoping the toner cartridge will last longer than the ink jets.
