materials are a little lackluster - returned it and got the G10 and AUS10 bersion
The Engage Lock is really nice and has been tested to be very strong. It is similar to the Demko Shark lock, but easier on the fingers as it's not as sharp, but because it is mounted farther back on the handle, it can be a little harder to reach without moving the knife in your hand. I still like the Engage Lock and have several other knifes that use it. I ultimately ended up returning this version because the handle material just felt kind of cheap to me. Perfectly functional, but I stepped up to the G10 and AUS 10 version and it jsut feels better to me.

Highly recommended
A hollow ground blade that measures at less than .10” in thickness makes this thing incredibly slicy. Sure you can complain that it is too pricey for the blade steel Cold Steel is using, that the handle flexes a bit, and the FRN texturing is a bit slick, but those are trade offs not complaints. What you get in return is a knife edge that can be easily touched up with a ceramic hone and a strop and a knife that is so light that I sometimes forget its in my pocket (I’ve accidentally slept through the night with this thing in my shorts pocket). The pocket clip is perfection, not like Cold Steel’s other pocket clips which can be too stiff. The blade is on washers so there is some resistance to the action, but that is to my liking. The locking mechanism is super easy to actuate, but that may depend on your hand size. While some may prefer the Tri-Ad lock, the Atlas lock is just way easier to actuate safely with one hand. My preference and recommendation is to place the index finger in front of the guard to catch the blade with as you actuate the lock, then close the blade the rest of the way with your thumb. This knife is particularly safe for two reasons. First, the blade is very light and on washers not bearings so unlikely to cut you when allowing the blade to drop shut. Second, the blade retention opens at only around 10 degrees, which means that unlike the Tri-Ad lock or Shark Lock that want to guillotine your finger off, there’s not a real risk of getting your finger stuck between the blade and the handle. Love this knife and would recommend if you are looking for something that will blade through cardboard boxes but will also serve as a knife. I bought this knife with my own money. Cold Steel has a short on YouTube where they explain this would be a good knife for people who lack hand strength to use the Tri-Ad lock, but I would say this is just a great knife for everyone. Still a bit pricey for what you’re getting in terms of materials, but worth it especially if you can get it on sale.

Better than expected.
Sharp, comfortable, slim, sturdy. Would buy again if anything ever happens to it.

Very flimsy and bad construction
The steel is nice but that’s about the only good value for this. The handle and the construction is VERY very plastic-y and cheap feeling. A LOT of blade play and movement, and no metal frame. Whole blade literally rides on the flimsy plastic. I like the way it looks so I will keep it in my collection, but wouldn’t buy again. For 60$ you can get a far, far better knife

Just ok
Pro It came fairly sharp. I got it on sale. Lockup is solid. Con At full price I would consider it overpriced for what you're getting. The action was horrible out of the box. Got slightly better after I cleaned it and polished the washers. Doesn't seem like it would hold up to much hard use. There are no metal liners at all. The lock bar slides between the two plastic handle scales and whats worse is that the blade has no support. Just two very thin Teflon washers and two bronze washers in between the plastic and the blade. I've never seen that except on very cheap gas station knives.
