Crescent Drill Bit Extension | 5.5" x 7/16" | CDEX-5525

I bought this because I needed to cut some deep holes with hole saws that has 3/8" arbors. It works great and runs true.

This extension is great! Just long enough to use in those tight places where the hole saw needs a couple of inches to go through a block or stud! I used it today with a 4" hole saw and it performed great!

This is a 3/8" quick release extension with a 3/8" male quick release shank. The statement in the Amazon product description "The Crescent Drill Bit Extensions provide increased accessibility in fastening and drilling applications and features a quick release function used to effortlessly switch between accessories and sizes. Its 1/4" hex shank provide optimal performance in both impact drivers and drills" is completely false. It will not fit in 3/8" impact drivers or bit extensions.

Worked great

if you need an extension for normal 1/4" driver bits this will not work, it's a 3/8" hex shaft and collet which are very unusual. I would suggest the titan 18" driver instead which does fit 1/4" hex shaft on both sides.

If your looking for a heavy duty quality 7/16 extension, then this product is for you. Being a professional tradesman, this extension is well worth the price. The quick connect is very easy to load and firmly holds bit in place. I used this extension on a 2 1/2" hole saw and had no issues and it turned true without wobble! Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality quick connect extension!!!
