I purchased this so that I could use a portable USB power bank to power my telescope mount, which has a 2.1mm input. The mount can run on anywhere from 7V-15V, but it works best with 12V. This PD power cable legitimately negotiates the rated voltage from the power supply. I purchased the 12V cable, and I have measured the output to my mount as 12V. Other cables do not fix the voltage, so since my mount can take 9V, other cables may only deliver 9V.

This cable worked as described, providing 9V from a PD charger. Heavy duty cable with quality connectors.

Plugged into a USB C PD port, 12 volts come out on the 5.5x2.1mm connector as expected.

Failed after a few months. Warranty does not matter as seller keeps saying they have sent another cable, but it will never arrive. Please consider purchasing another cable.

This worked great until a week later and it would only output 5V instead of 12V. I had to buy a replacement which again worked and has held up a few weeks. Nice that it comes with a connector with screw terminals for using in electrical projects.

Bought this adapter cable a a possible cheaper alternative to battery packs for a telescope. Using a 50000mah power bank I had this adapter worked perfect to provide 12v power to my telescope. Saved me $80 and allowed me to use a power bank with 3x more power than what is sold specifically for telescope power devices.

I purchased this for my Breas Z2 Travel CPAP/APAP. Works as intended. It saves me from carrying one more power brick and this cable lets me run it off my multi-port USB power brick that I already carry for phone, watch, kindle, etc. Gotta love the more and more you can do using USB-C power.

I read the reviews before I purchased this, I was looking for a cable with this kind of capability for about a week and a half -- I wanted to charge a travel cpap machine with a capable DC portable charger. I read two reviews that suggested it worked with the same model cpap I had, and so I purchased this right away. I plugged it in and was disappointed to see that my cpap did not light up. Be very careful when shopping for cables with these unique case functionalities, most of these companies produce a lot of duds.

ottimo prodotto, attenzione a chi lo acquista perche' il vavo non eleva la tensione a 20V ma comunica all'uscita USB C di fornire i 20V richiesti. Se si tratta di un power bank controllare attentamente che possa fornire tensioni fino a 20V. Solitamente tutti quelli siglati con una potenza di almeno 65W. Con questo cavetto e' possibile alimentare qualsiasi PC portatile anche se quest'ultimo e' sprovvisto di alimentazione USB C ma di presa coassiale come quella del cavetto. Nel mio computer la durata delle batterie interne e' di circa 2,5ore, utilizzando un power bank da 22000mAh e 65W di potenza si prolunga per ulteriori 3,5 ore l'utilizzo

I bought this to power guitar pedals, fully aware that I would need to modify it since guitar pedals, unlike almost all other products, normally require centre-negative polarity. So you can either get a polarity-reversing adaptor which plugs onto the DC end of the cable, or, as I did, simply cut the DC plug off the cable and replace it with a new one wired appropriately. It works excellently, and (depending on the capabilities of your USB power supply, of course) can provide up to 3A of current at 9V, which will power even the most power-hungry modern digital pedals, or even a DC-powerable amplifier. A very useful product at a very reasonable price.
