Good pump with plenty of pressure.
Used the pump yesterday to empty a large plastic tank which had had housed a number of Koi in temporary accomodation. The pump performed well but was unfortunately let down by the 25mm X 3m length lay flat hose. There were too many kinks/flat spots in the hose when laid out which prevented the pump working efficiently. Testing the pump without the hose attached showed there was lots of pressure from the pump in order to shift the water. We all know what happens when you get kinks in hoses. I was really pleased with pumps performance when the hose worked properly and would recommend it. It shifted the water in good time, although again, this would have been even better with a decent hose. I thought the pump was well packaged and the instructions were reasonable. The variable height on the pump was useful. I thought the pump was actually very quiet.

Very effective
Very effective at emptying a large paddling pool. Extremely quiet too. You will need a separate wide diameter hose attachment

Amazing
This is an amazing pump, we wanted to empty our paddling pool, it use to take us over two hours to empty, but connect a hose and letting gravity to do the work, but apart from taking so long to empty, it never emptied fully. This pump manages to empty the pool within 30 minutes and it gets every bit of water.Just be aware you will need a hose to attach to the pump, I was lucky that my garden hose was big enough, but check before you intend to use it.But the power of this is brilliant and it is a great investment, it also looks really good.Great product, at a great price.

Such a shame
The media could not be loaded. Such a shame. Great product but sadly as you can see in the video the water squirts out of the sides. My old man needed to empty my son's little pool so I thought I would cease the opportunity to try out my new sump pump and I'm glad I did because I'm sending it back

Great pump - Invest in good hose for best results
Bought for emptying hot tub. I looked at so many pumps and they all seemed so similar that it was hard to pick one out. The main thing I’d say is that I think the speed of the pump is more based on the size of the hose you connect. A regular garden hose is too small, and even with the right adapter to make it fit, your speed of empty will be about half of what it could be. The flat roll hoses would fit with a ring clip to hold in place, but these need a straight route to your drain or they can block if they fold. Though a little more expensive, I went for the black coiled pond pump hose as it’s wider (1” internal) and also robust enough not to kink. For my disposal route I needed 7 metres, which cost me about £25 from a garden centre. Was worthwhile as it emptied a 5 person hot tub in under 30 mins, leaving just an inch of water in the bottom. Only other thing worth mentioning is the float only has a lead of about half a metre, so I had to sit it in one of the tub seats for the first half, then drop it into the bottom centre for the second half and scooped any leftovers from the seats as it finished up the last 6” or so.

Good but slow
Good pump, I used mine on the Layze Spa Paris and took around 2 hours to drain from full. Much easier than by buckets like I used to do
