Extremely well made and waterproof.

Fantastic replacement for an old outlet that the plastic was going brittle on. Good to have the switch indicator light. Only minor criticism is the plug socket is slightly offset from the cable outlet below which makes it a little bit of a fiddle to get the cable central for locking down the cover, but overall very happy with this product.

If you can drill a hole in the wall and wire a plug, then install is easy enough. It looks great also when fitted. The lid locks down tight and fairly easy to open. The led is a nice bonus to show socket is on. There is a slight negative, as highlighted in other reviews - The socket in the enclosure is off center with the cable outlet, which means the cable flex needs to be angled for the opening. This won't be an issue for most appliances but for those with longer sturdy flex restriants, then lid could be more difficult to lock down. I think the enclousure was designed for other socket types rather than UK switched plugs. Suits my purpose perfectly but knocked 1 star off for flex opening not aligning with plug socket.

Pros: Good quality construction; Easy to use connections; clear instructions. Cons; When connecting an appliance plug, the gap for the plug lead is off centre. This is not a problem for most plugs and leads but some fitted plugs have an extended sleeve which hinders the closing and sealing of the outdoor switch cover.

Great - Did exactly as it states. I love the 2 Blue Lights that indicate it is plugged in and working. BG Kit us 1st Rate I’ve purchased 100’s of £ of kit during a Garage Conversion all perfect. Great Customer and Technical Backup also. Albert

This socket certainly looks great, and I like the blue LED to show power. But the quality is poor. It's very stiff to open the lid and the lid also comes off. I have 2 of these and they both have this problem. It's useable as an occasional socket, but if you plan to use it a lot I would consider something else. I'm not sure how long they will last before they break.

The back box is a bit flexible but then again this might help with installation in some situations. I think for the price I paid; on sale; these are great value. They look really good. Glad I went for the stainless version
