I ordered this kit to create connectors for robots with JST GH connectors, and at the end of the day I was able to crimp a a handful of my own cable harnesses. The components and pins all worked as expected, and I had no issues with fit or sizing. With that said, I greatly underestimated how difficult and time consuming it would be to crimp such small connections. It is VERY important to follow the included guide that describes the wire gauge and insulation thickness, otherwise it will not fit in the appropriate crimp channel. I found that the best way to get good crimps was to strip the wire so that only about 1mm of copper was exposed. then ratchet the crimp most of the way shut just enough to hold the un-crimped pin in place, then slide the cable in so that the insulation presses against the small shelf in the crimping tool, before finally crimping down. Paying close attention to position and length of wire made this a repeatable process. Overall I'm very pleased with the kit, included instructions, and the results.

The JST 1.0 connectors have unbelievably small crimp pins that you need to work with. It takes practice, expect to not get it right until the 5th try. If you are of a certain age, get some magnifying glasses, because you are going to need them! I have a crimp pin in D in the picture and one of the pins next to the crimper for scale. In the end I was able to repair the broken cable I had with this kit. The JST 2.0 connectors are likely easier to work with.

Works great! Bought secondhand some pc fans, and one out of them all had its connector piece ripped off from the pin. This made it easy to put new pins into a new connector, which allowed me to use the fan instead of tossing it. This comes with a little tip paper, which is honestly easy to read and helpful. Worth the purchase 100%.

If you build or just repair RC and other small electronics this is a good tool. You do get what you pay for. The Dupont connections are small, and my big hands find it difficult, but the results have been consistently good. I feel the connection pieces are a little on the thin side, but they work like they should. Variety and number of connections is good. The crimping tool is of very good quality and easy to use. Not what I would trust for critical infrastructure or life safety equipment but hobby electronics, oh yes.

ratcheting is pretty smooth, it's a little tough unlatching the ratchet smoothly. it's no $50 tool but it's not bad. Haven't used the connectors yet but happy with the purchase.

Has a good assortment of connectors and pins to repair or build circuit board connectors, plus has the crimper to crimp the pins with.

The crimper set with the selection of pins is just what I needed to rewire my Ender 6 by removing the troublesome breakout board. It took a couple of test crimps to correctly position the pin within the crimping jaw, but after that, perfect double crimps. The crimping tool is very well made and the ratcheting feature assures a perfect crimp.

Kit ben curato e completo di tutto, ha un assortimento di connettori e accessori davvero completo. Lo utilizzo per scopi professionali e vi dico che tra tutti quelli che ho acquistato questo risulta PROFESSIONALE! Le crimpature risultano ben fatte e resistenti alla trazione, avvolge perfettamente connettore a guaina del filo e filo. La spelafili in dotazione anche essa risulta ben fatta e non va a intaccare il rame ma incide la guaina perfettamente! Sono veramente soddisfatto la consiglio vivamente

He empezado con proyectos DIY y este conjunto me ha parecido una buena forma de empezar porque su conjunto de herramientas y componentes se adaptan perfectamente a lo que andaba buscando. Por un lado tengo todo en uno, es decir, las herramientas y los componentes, por otro lado almacenamiento y transporte, con lo que gano en un comodidad y usabilidad.

No complaints, the crimper works great, nice and organized and comes in a convenient case so it'll all stay together, also includes a booklet with some information regarding wire sizes and stuff.
