Compact size; works great to jump the 12v in an EV; good build quality
While this lacks the power of larger models from Gooloo, the benefit is a much thinner, lighter device. I have another Gooloo jump starter, but wanted to get a second one for my EV. Since there is no need for the higher amperage to crank an engine, this smaller one fit the bill well. While there are less expensive jump starters, I like the build quality of the Gooloo, especially with regard to the clamps. They are big and beefy, and make excellent contact. Usage is very simple, and there are multiple safeguards in case you're not paying attention. My only quibbles are that it has a simple gas gauge style indicator for the charge level rather than a digital readout. Also, the included case is thin and lacks much padding. But, it is a lower-end model so you can't have everything and keep the price low. Good value for the price, especially if you catch it on sale. 5 stars

Haven't tried Gooloo? You may want to consider one. We have one in each car.
We REALLY like our Gooloo Jump Starters. We have one in every car. We have used them multiple times to help people in parking lots who might need a jump. Our daughter is even good at helping out other kids at the high school if they need a jump. She is known as the "Jumper" (she is also a high jumper). These always work. They are just the right size for storage in a vehicle. Not real sure if I prefer the soft case or the hard. I like the look and the protection provided by the hard case, but it does take up more space. I like the fact that you can't mess up attaching them (nice and safe). Ease of mind for me if my children have to use one. Solid build quality. The only issue I have is that looking back I would not mess with the lower amp <3000A units. Not necessarily anything wrong with those, but I prefer the 3000A or higher. With all of the different vehicles we have used them on, the 3000A seems to work great. We initially purchased the different sizes based on the vehicles they were going to be in. And, some of the smaller amp models were a great price. The 2000A works great for our 2006 Honda Cr-V. I tried it on few larger vehicles (larger batteries) and it struggled a little with some of them. Note, the 2000A was NOT recommended for the larger size vehicles. BUT, if getting one, you may want to just step up to a larger size even if it is for a smaller car, because you never know what other size of vehicle you might need to use it on. They were changing the look of the different styles/models for awhile. I have no idea if it was just cosmetic or if there were interior changes. The previous models appeared to be a really good deal for awhile. The problem was, that at that time, there were several models listed on Amazon. At times it was a little difficult to sort the different models out. I ended up going to the Gooloo website and made comparisons there. Then I ordered accordingly. The BIG displays on some models are nice, but they do make those models more expensive. And, the difference in color is simply a personal preference. We have both. I can see how that might make a difference to some, but I just want something that works. Sometimes the different colors are different prices. I just go with the one that is less expensive. I have not had to charge one quickly after discharging. I just place it on charge over night and it is ready in the morning. And finally, I unfortunately cannot report on the longevity of the individual units. Sorry. We have had all of them for over a year and they all still work. Most have been almost fully discharged at least once. I check them on a regular basis and have not noticed any natural drain of the units (Kansas hot and cold temperatures).

Works when you're in a pinch!
The little pack that could! This little unit is a life-saver! it's smaller than a set of jumper cables, and easily hides under the back seat of my truck in the little cubby under the seat! I charged it up per the instructions when I received it, and then it sat in my truck for 6 months before I had to use it. Low and behold, it worked PERFECTLY even after sitting that long, I had a coworker struggling with dead Jeep after work. I whipped this puppy out and hooked it up to her battery, within seconds the light on the unit turned green and the Jeep fired right up! I have used it to jump a 6 cylinder Jeep and a V8 F150 so far and I have no doubts it will be able to handle whatever I throw at it Pros - Small and compact Fast to charge Holds a charge for a very long time The flashlight on the unit is bright and useful in the dark the Red/green LED indicator lets you know when the unit is ready to attempt to start the dead vehicle, wait until its green and VROOOOM! There is a "Boost" option for an extremely dead battery, I have not had to use this yet though Can be used to charge phones and other electronics, great if your phone dies on the go and you don't have a wall plug Cons - The "jumper cable" portion of this unit is pretty short so it can be difficult to set the unit aside once it's hooked up to the battery

Everyone should have one of these
I have bought two of these jump packs and think everyone should have this in their cars. I have used them multiple times and it always works. Have even helped people start electric cars with it. No jumper cables or looking for someone to jump you. No worries about messing up computers on cars. They come in a self contained case for easy storage. They charge with a type C connector so you can easily recharge it. I have also gone several months without charging and it was ready to go and has yet to fail me. I think the first one I bought over 4 years ago and it is still working great. One time of helping you out in a bad situation and it has paid for itself. I have also dropped numerous times and not a crack

Drivers, Start Your Engines!
For about the past 10 years I used an old-school, Glore JNC 660. It weighs about 20 - 25 pounds and when I bought it the price was close to $200. It still works great but now lives in my garage since I'm not up to lugging it in and out of the car trunk these days. I have to admit I was somewhat skeptical about this purchase. I generally try to buy from well known American companies but it is next to impossible to find anything not made offshore. NOCO, one of the better known products of this type used to claim made in USA but that no longer seems to be the case. Besides, this unit was half the price of a comparable NOCO, had better specs and came with a nice zippered hard case. To top it all off, it weighs just over a pound. I bought it about 6 months ago, charged it and then it sat in the trunk until I needed it yesterday to start a car which I know needs help starting after going unused for long periods (yes, I know a new battery would probably solve that problem). Connection was simple and foolproof. The car started, first try, within two seconds of turning the key. All without any backstrain! Of course it remains to be seen how long the Gooloo holds a charge and what its service life will be but so far I'm very satisfied. UPDATE 1/29/2024: It has been about 6 months. I've used the unit twice and it continues to work quite well. Stored in the trunk of my car, it still indicates that it is fully charged. So far, I remain satisfied, UPDATE 9/15/2025: About 8 montths since my last update. I've only had to use the device on a few occassions but it has never failed to start any of my vehicles very quickly. . It spends a lot of time in the trunk (you know, just in case) and I check it state of charge every 3 months or so. I put a strip of masking tape along one edge to note the charge dates and in the almost 2 years I've had the unit I've only charged it 3 times. It holds a charge quite well. All in all, Given its light weight and (so far) flawless performance, I remain quite happy with this purchase and I'm glad I overcame my initial skepticism.

Great Product, much better than Jumper Cables
I charged it when I bought, put in the trunk, 10 months later when I need to use it, still a full charge. It was easy to and my car, a Honda Accord, started up quickly. Still a full charge after using.

Little and Powerful
This thing is incredible. Sat in the boat for almost a year. New season and our battery was dead on the first startup. The device jumped it with no problem. 3 weeks later my wife's car battery died and I retrieved the device from the boat and jumped the car. Again, with no problem. After that I finally charged it up and put it back in the boat. Amazing with it being so small.
