Chef Collection 12.5 Inch Wok

I am very pleased with this wok in every way possible. It's American made, which is a big plus for me. It's solid and well made. It is heavy, so be careful when placing in on a glass-top stove. Being heavy, once you set it in place, it stays there while you are stirring. For two people, the size is perfect. It cooks/works very well, and the heat distribution is spot on. I would gladly purchase this wok again. God bless America, and stay safe out there!

I am elated to have a cast iron wok. I did not know that they were made like a cast iron skillet but that’s what I wanted and that’s what I received. It is pre seasoned, but of course you wash and re-season it before use. It cooks well and evenly and when you need to slow the process down flip it to the side. Merry Christmas to me. I got the 12 inch size and the weight is not too heavy but it is cast iron. Food tastes great. And cleaning is easy, I’ve been doing it all my life. I keep it on my stove and it looks great.

I have purchased many cast iron cookware and love them. The heat distribution is great the pan gets hot evenly and you must use oven mitts or handle holder to hold the pan. They come in many different sizes and the quality is very high and recommended. Because they are cast iron the weight varies depending on the size of the pan. It is also a dual functional pan you can use on the stove top and in the oven.

This Lodge cast iron wok fit old-style electric range's small coil. Stable, even with 1/2 load. Heat remained near the bottom (wok's design). Cleaned easily. Slightly awkward re-oiling external surfaces after cleaning, (weight and design is to hold upright, not upside down). This Lodge surface is smoother than other new Lodge products. No, not a baby's bottom smooth, but stir-frying dinner and fresh green beans, this wok worked better than flat or deep sided skillets.

If you’re into cast iron and looking for a wok for your cooking needs this is the item for you! Comes pre-seasoned and will last a lifetime as well as it can be handed down through family generations! Cooks stir fry and fried rice very well.

This is a heavy pan. Don't think you will moving this around while you cook. You will move the food, not the pan. That being said, the 12.5" size is great for most anything. The pan hold heat just like you would expect of cast iron, but you can still have multiple temperature zones by moving the food higher up the sides while you cook. Cleans up easily, mostly non-stick, like all cast iron if it's seasoned and cared for properly. It will likely last forever, so the price is extremely reasonable.

Best wok ever. Would not trade it for any other. Cooks wonderfully.
