Having struggled with compatibility issues in the past, finding a backup camera that seamlessly integrates with my Joying headunit for a 2012 Subaru Impreza was a priority. After encountering setbacks with two previous cameras, I finally found success with this model, and it has exceeded my expectations in several key areas. First and foremost, compatibility with the Joying headunit was flawless. Unlike my previous experiences, where configuration complications hindered the setup process, this camera synced effortlessly with the headunit, providing a hassle-free experience. Whether the compatibility issues stemmed from user error or specific settings within the Joying system, the reliability and performance of this camera were unmatched. The picture quality delivered by this backup camera is nothing short of impressive. Whether during the bright light of day or the darkness of night, the camera captures clear and detailed visuals, providing confidence and clarity while reversing. The night vision capabilities, in particular, stand out, ensuring optimal visibility even in low-light conditions. While there is some distortion due to the wide field of view, particularly around the edges of the screen, it's a minor inconvenience that doesn't detract significantly from functionality. When it comes to quickly checking what's directly behind the vehicle, the distortion is negligible and doesn't impede usability. Setting up and installing the camera was a straightforward process, thanks to its user-friendly design and clear instructions. However, one notable drawback is the size of the camera, which limits the downward angle and prevents visibility of the actual back bumper. This limitation can be problematic when attempting to back up into extremely tight spots, necessitating extra caution and reliance on mirrors. In summary, this car backup camera offers reliable compatibility with Joying headunits, delivering clear visuals day or night and a straightforward installation process. Actual video quality is good, but within 2 days it has a cloudy spot…. Oh. And the plug that connects the camera to the king cable that goes to the front of the car is HUGE!!! Goodluck getting that thing through smaller factory grommets. Needless to say….it totally sucked to install, and now it’s acting up, and it’s too much of a hassle to replace. Don’t waste your time and money on this trash

Basically I have had problems with joying customer service and getting correct info on their products. First off, I bought direct from them a head unit that said it came with everything to make my steering wheel controls work and my FACTORY back up camera will connect and work with the unit, that came as a package for my car, from them directly. Nothing worked as advertised and I’m constantly buying things to make it work. The company’s answer to customer service is “ send it back “ so basically, you spend money to have it installed, have things not work, call them form them to tell you it’s not suppose to work, even though it says it does on the site. The next thing they say is “ send it back if you no like “ so now I have to pay the guy who installed it to take it out, and pay for shipping to China. So first off, becareful with this company. As far as this camera, it’s a good camera for $28. I wouldn’t expect 1080 out of it though, like it’s advertised as. Also, the glass came with spots burned into the lens or the sensor. Every video has blotches in it. Used soap and water, used rubbing alcohol and nothing takes the spots out. So, for a $28 camera, it works, but it’s not what they say it is at all.

Brilliant picture.. but installation is not straightforward. Needs someone who knows how to install it

This was installed on the FJ Cruiser and the camera is very clear.

Their tech support will lie to you to avoid any assistance. Plus, the crap Joying sells here on Amazon is OLD. they sell android 10 on here and 12 on their website. They also only give tech support for android 12.

Easy to hookup but disappointed in the picture/video
