is there anyway to shorten the lenght of the band? How is the band attach to the buckel.

We do not recommend cutting down the band, because unfortunately once altered it can not be returned or exchanged & it may damage the integrity of the material. Our Perlons are designed to have the excess material be tucked back into the keeper, the buckle itself is attached to the band with a pin that holds it in place.
