Have loved this for many years, originally just having soap to choose. Gorgeous fragrance, unisex, a (male) friend once hugged me and said I smelt so great he wanted to know what it was - and he switched to this and hasn’t used anything else since!

The 200ml bottle of shower gel arrived in nicely designed, premium squeeze tube with flip open lid. The Jean Marie Farina shower gel has a plant-based cleansing formula which includes natural origin extracts from both aloe vera and rosemary. The gel has a thick consistency meaning a little goes a long way and it can also be used as a bubble bath as well so bathers don’t miss out! The shower gel has a complex blended scent of a woody base with energising citrus overtones which I would say is more on the masculine side due to the cologne element and lasts on your skin for a good amount of time. It lathers well and leaves your skin feeling cleansed and moisturised. The formula is free from sulphates and parabens and is also suitable for sensitive skin as it has been dermatological tested. Although the shower gel is plant based, I am unsure whether this makes it vegan as there is no mention of cruelty free from the brand. The shower gel is made in France and is currently priced at £9.50 at the time of reviewing, so this is definitely on the higher price range of shower gels. However, the shower gel is an absolute pleasure to use with a fantastic, invigorating scent which didn’t cause any adverse reaction to my skin, leaving it cleansed and fragrant – I would definitely recommend both for yourself or as a gift.

A shower gel to my mind can only do so much to be either extremely bad or extremely good. At £9.50 this would have to be extremely good. The nozzle that the gel comes out with seems to only allow a thin stream of gel, probably to increase longevity. Despite only giving out a small amount, it lathers up well. It smells nice and cleans the body, a bear minimum for a gel I guess. SO this brings me to the final point. It doesn't make me feel 4 to 5 times better than a standard gel. It does a job but for £9.50 it doesn't do much more than a gel for the fraction of the price. Having said that, I am not sure what I would want a £9.50 gel to do to justify that price.

If your a guy who likes a truly masculine fragrance in his toiletries then this Roger and Gallet Shower Gel should be right up your street. It offers a really intense short of wood with hints of lemon citrus which is both refreshing and manly. The clear gel creates only a modest amount of lather but offers you not only effective cleansing but also does not dry or irritate your skin even mine which is easily damaged as the formulation includes essential oils in the blend. The 200ml size is decent for a quality brand and the price is very competitive the more so as it is currently on promotion. It would be good to carry in the sports bag to refresh you after a work out or to use on a trip away. Recommended.

After I used this shower gel for the first time, I recommended my husband to share it with me because the lovely scent was suitable for both men and women. Like other Roger&Gallet shower gel, it is quick thick so requires a lot of water to make it lather well. This means you just need a small amount for a shower so a little goes a long way. A nice shower gel for him and her.

これはシャワーソープですが、90年代の今はなきルクサンブール公園近くの3つ星ホテルに置いてあった石鹸の香りで、気に入ったのでモンパルナス駅近くの薬局でお土産に買って行きました。 英語ができる店員が「これはパリでは一般的な石鹸です」と教えてくれて、おそらくどこの家庭にもありそうな私にとっては懐かしいパリの香り。
