Broken from the start, but not terrible
As others have said, you need to replace R1 with a much lower value, although shorting R1 to best also worked.3A is not correct. But it was a rock solid 4.94v all the way to 2.3A with a test load. At that point it was getting pretty spicy and I assume a cut-out … cut out.So if you’re happy replacing a single SMD (I managed with an 80w shovel of a soldering iron) and 2.3A will do you, it’s actually a pretty tidy package for such a low price 👌

Construction defect do NOT buy unless you are capable off tiny scale soldering.
Thank you to the previous reviewer Peter Vasil. He was clever enough to diagnose the construction fault with R1 on circuit board being wrong value and therefore NOT charging the batteries at all! I sourced a pack of SMD resistors and replaced the 330R resistor with 1R. Should really be .3-.5R but the board now charges the attached batteries. So thank you Peter ;-) And no thanks to seller. Nor Amazon who quite honestly sell much trash nowadays. Who still mislead by attaching the same multiple reviews to multiple items or conceal the negative ones.
