I have a lot of different GIR items and love them all. They stand up to cooking heat, clean up easy and are gentle on my cookware. I buy all back utensils so I can not tell you if the other colors hold up.

Expect to replace within a year. Was hoping that this $20 spatula would last us longer than our $10 KitchenAid or Oxo branded ones but alas, the silicone couldn't keep up with our home cooking demands.

I already love to cook. But, I love it more when I have the proper tools. Yes I said tools because I'm a guy. I am particular about my spatulas. I like them with the silicone because they are more durable, easy to clean, and feel good in the hand. This one is dipped. There are no creases or crevices for food to get into it's just one solid piece. It's flexible and rigid. When you slide it under the food it's like a squeegee on the pan. It gets between the food and the pan no sticking. When you're ready to make that pot liquor. You know those extra crumbly pieces on the pan. You flip that spatula over it's real firm it lets you just rake it against the bottom of the pan and it catches all that stuff up so you can make that delicious syrupy yum yum stuff. It also helps clean the pan in the sink by scrubbing the service with it once again flipping it upside down. It's Simple, easy, and well priced. You gotta love it.

I like the way it feels. It has a nice thickness, it gets under the food well.

I was a little weary at first on getting this spatula because the pictures looked like the edge might be too thick to get under my food (especially eggs) to flip, but once I started using this spatula, boy was I impressed. I couldn't use the metal spatulas, and the nyon or plastic ones were always wearing away at the edges and getting in my food (not good). This one is perfect. I should probably get another one to have just in case something happens. Anyway the other reason I chose this particular spatula is because a lot of the other silicone spatulas sit over a metal insert, and I noticed people complaining that the end of the spatulas were breaking away and having to throw them away. This one is solid silicone. Working perfectly for me anyway. Highly recommend even if the price is a little high. You get what you pay for sometimes.
