Right price
Having 3 USB ports is a great feature. While I has to return the product, the return was not due to any performance issues. I have a specific need for a port to accommodate the old larger Smart Media cards, which this device did not have. The listing of smart card types in all product is confusing. The refund and return process was quick and easy.

So far, so good
Bought this primarily for convenience connecting Sony Memory Sticks and downloading photos. No complaint so far. Some of my electronics use SD or Micro cards, and haven't tried them yet, but don't foresee any problem. Going to transfer some data around with my PC, and this device seems to put that potential all in one place.

Great little box
Tried another media reader and it sucked. Took 3 days to back up a 256 gb card half full. This one took me about a half hour. Great little box for the money using 3.0 USB. Thanks.

Works fine. Useful card reader.
Works as advertised. I have some really old format solid-state devices (e.g., compact flash) and this reader handles them. I plan to move the data stored on these old cards to newer technology devices.

Bad for Compact Flash, 1st unit had bent pin, 2nd one burned up when a CF card was put in.
I ordered this with high hopes for a newer generation multicard reader. On paper it looks like a great design. The first one arrived and I had difficulty getting a Compact Flash card to insert. After several tries I could not get a CF card to go in (and I never did get it to go in), so I started looking at the port and I could see that the last pin was bent over. I asked for a replacement and got it a few days later. I checked the replacement carefully and it did not have any bent pins.I was able to insert a CF card with some difficulty, however it didn't show up as a drive in Windows. I tried unplugging the reader and plugging it back in, but is still didn't work. After awhile I could smell something that smelled like burning electronics. When I pulled out the CF card and look at the port, I could see that two pins were bent over! See picture one.So this thing is engineered badly for CF cards. The pins are too long and the CF card insertion depth is way too shallow; obviously pin alignment is a major problem. The pins should not be so easily bent, it happens because the pins are too long and the CF card slot on the reader does not have a deep enough slide-in before pin contact. The third picture shows a 10 or 12 year old reader I have with a proper depth; it is easily seen in the second picture how shallow the depth is on this reader.I can only guess that all of the great reviews are people using the other ports on the reader and not the Compact Flash port. This is not a roulette problem where I just got a few bad apples, this reader is not engineered properly for Compact Flash, period.

Easy to use.
The card reader arrived quickly and started right up as soon as it was connected. If you have multiple old digital cameras like we have,(Nikon/Olympus) this item is a must. Pretty much every old format is an option to connect. The user interface is a little difficult to navigate but not Impossible. It does what I need it to.
