Simple Tool
You put it around the base of the connection. Squeeze. And it pops out.

Works great!
I picked this up because I have a pair of AKG N5005 earbuds with a very tight MMCX connector. It is so tight that you can break the very expensive cable if you aren’t careful. These work great to fit in the seam between the cable connection and the earbud. Put them in the seam, squeeze them together, and give the earbud a slight tug and they pop right off. Just what I was looking for!

You need this if you have MMCX 'phones!
Worked on my Etymotic ER series IEMs. Definitely a requirement if you have MMCX connectors. Price is kind of high for a little plastic tool, though.

So simple, yet so necessary
Honestly, I'm surprised this hasn't been invented before. MMCX cable are some of the most stressful parts of owning IEMS, especially when it comes time to either change cables or detach them to sell some of your pairs. Gone are the days of worrying about damaging your IEM's connectors, now you can just snip with these and you're done. Hopefully their construction holds up, as they're 3d printed.

simple but needed
Every headphone manufacture should included a set of these with MMCX headphones

not compatible with my akgs
as described but doesn’t work with my akgs, they’re too bulky and plastic is little too thick to even unlock the connectors.
