Very nice white mineral sand, but probably not quartz
This is a nice clean sugar white natural sand, but I don't think its quartz. The blocky 90-degree cleavage of sand grains seen at high power under a microscope makes me think this is a white feldspar. (Quartz has a conchoidal cleavage.) That's still good for the purposes suggested but is incorrectly identified. Quartz is used to make glass, whereas feldspar is used to make cleanser and ceramic glaze.

Fine white quartz sand, in an easy pour package
This 2-lb. package of white sand, actual ground quartz, is the finest grained that I've seen yet! It comes in a soft plastic pouch with a screw lid, and can be poured like water into the container of your choice. We like to use quartz sand in a ceramic bowl, as a comination incense burner and candle holder. I also keep a shot glass of sand nearby to snuff matches out in! There are some specks of natural inclusions visible in the mix, but they're as fine as the rest of the sand, and don't bother me at all. The amount of inclusions is really minimal. I'm pleased with this buy, and will likely purchase more in the future!

Pool grouting.
Grouting pool tiles is a job I handle for my 25 year old pool. It's hard to find a good grout - most are for interiors, not exterior or chlorine. Getting a sanded grout's harder. I found a good plasticised grout & this fine sand is perfect additive.
