Works well and have owed this for 7 months now. Purchased to help keep Covid virus spread lower in the air. The optional on/off UV light appears to have mitigated its spread helping to keep others from getting sick. Granted, enhanced hygiene measures, masks, and cleaning with antiviral products contributed to the success we experienced. However, it was again successful when used another time for a lesser illness. As for the Hepa, it works very good. We have pets and the air is noticeably cleaner. The fan speeds have a wide range. When highest, it is loud with the sound of air movement — but pretty much all hepas are loud on the highest setting. Otherwise, it’s decent at medium and quiet when low. Only drawback is that it would be nice to dim the operational light for nighttime. One thing to note is that while it moves a lot of air, don’t expect a fan. The air output is diffused for even flow. It seems to pull air from the front and back and air also exits from the front. We would recommend this product.

I got this cause I thought there may be mold in the air in my old old house ( built 1890) since we been here a year in this house there have been no problems but the wife recently started getting hives/ breaking out in rash and what i read was this could kill moldy air and i also thought maybe it could clear up anything else in the air that may be irritating her skin. She has Asthma but never had a problem/ asthma attack so i am sure our dust levels are low, we have 2 dogs that have access to back yard through doggy door so they going in and out ALL day and bringing in dirt, bugs and if its raining.... they got wet dog smell they bring inside. With that said.... our house is vacuumed constantly and cleaned regularly so there really is never a long term bad smell in our house ( or we just used to it hahaha) . So i plugged this thing in downstairs and turned it up to level 5 and turned on the light to kill anything it can that gets cycled through it. As some reviews say there is a smell... my unit had zero initial running smell/ odor about it. I came downstairs and could tell the air was a little fresher but didn't really pay to much attention to it. I Then moved it into our bedroom so it could clean up/ kill anything bad in there we couldn't see, smell, taste, feel etc.. so i turned it on high and closed the door. I returned a couple hours later to get something out of the room and as soon as i walked in I felt the lightest, cleanest , best smelling tasting feeling air ever! So much of a huge noticeable improvement, I told the wife to check it out in case i was over reacting and she was blown away how fresh the air was. If your looking to clear stale air, odors, dusty air etc.... this will do the job. $ I got the unit for $150 and I was questioning spending that much, especially since it takes replacement filters every 6-8 months opposed to just cleaning the blades off like other air cleaners, but i think its the Hepa filter that needs replacing. Either way, I was skeptical at spending the money and I always do mega research to make sure its not cheaper somewhere else, if this model is really better then others etc. etc. etc. and I couldn't be happier. The lightest air I ever breathed! I just stand in the room taking full deep breaths of air cause it smells so fresh and clean and clear and light..... its so unbelievable to me. Next is to move it back downstairs and let it run a few days and clean that big area up. The bedroom cleaned up in hours.... the downstairs is so large it will probably take longer.

I am impressed with the quality of this for sure. It’s a very large machine, which I wasn’t expecting. That’s my fault has I didn’t read the dimensions. I’m 5’8” tall and this beast comes up past mid-thigh. It’s very quiet on the lower speeds so it works well when I’m watching TV or have the radio on. Of course the higher the fan speed, the louder it becomes. I have a dog and two birds, so I looked for soemthing with a special pet filter. This machine has an impressive amount of different filters. I noticed a difference in the air within an hour. The only complaint I have is about the freakishly bright lights on it. When the UV light is on, there is a very bright blue light around the front top of the unit. There is no way I would be able to sleep with that light on in my bedroom. That feature can be switched off but the really bright red light (indicating the unit is on) is on all the time. Other than the two lights, I’m happy with the product.

I now have three of these units in my home. My wife is allergic to all kinds of "stuff". I am pleased with the performance of this unit and it has helped to reduce allergy issues in my house, BUT I have had one defect... The unit performs well. Sound levels are acceptable at higher speeds and very quiet at lower speeds. I have one unit in my family room, one in the upstairs loft, and one in the master bedroom. I used a Sharper Image Ionic Breeze for nearly twenty years (yes 20 YEARS). It had UV, but was not well shielded which ment I had to keep the unit away from the kids. The wife also had problems if the unit was producing too much ozone (..in the master bedroom). These towers do a good job of shielding the UV light with no ozone. The unit is well designed and quality built, but it is the UV light that I had the defect with. The very first unit burned out it's UV bulb in less than a week. I returned the unit without issues and got a replacement. I decided I would let it run for a bit to see if the second unit had similar problems, it did not. So now I have three... **UPDATE: 2-3 months in now and I have 2 more units with burnt out UV bulbs. These bulbs are $31 each. If these bulbs burn out at this rate there's no way I can afford to keep these units around. Also, forget the six month life cycle on the HEPA filter.. Mine got completely clogged in 2-3 months. Not huge because it shows how well the filters are working in my home, but these filters are starting to look like a very expensive maintenance item. So just be aware that long term, this units will cost you $$$. Dropped the rating due to these issues... ***LAST UPDATE: I finally figured out the UV bulb problem. Two of my units kept blowing UV bulbs constantly (I almost gave up on this thing), BUT 1 never blew its bulb. I started to wonder why and realized that this particular unit was plugged into a power block with a surge protector. I decided to add surge protectors to my other two units, so I purchased and installed a Minuteman MMS110 Surge Protector from Amazon on each unit. I haven't had any UV issues since, and it's been several months now. Sooo, it appears these units are very sensitive to power spikes. If you're having similar issues, try a surge protector! Going back to 4 stars!

I love this purifier. It has different levels and it works great! It technically works as a fan. The filters are kinda expensive but they last a long time. It is a bit bulky but I dont mind it since it works so well.
