The cables works!
Bought a usb to console from different manufacturer - didn't work. Was not sure if it was the switch or the cable really put me off physical devices for labs. Wasted a bunch of time messing with com settings, baud and looking for drivers. Bought this cable worked first time no problems. Very happy. This one cost a few euro more would recommend spending the bit extra first time and buying this cable. Did not need the driver but comes on disk if needed so no time wasted sourcing from 3rd party websites

Windows 11 - Disc was not needed
After reading reviews I was unsure about this item but decided to try it. On Windows 11, Plugged it in, opened device manager and it was listed as the driver installed already, the mini disc provided with the drivers was not needed. From the device manager I managed to get the COM port and then connect to my Cisco 2960 switch.

Good kit but YMMV for high baud rates
Pros: Windows 10 support with no drivers; Serial and USB included; good build quality Cons: Corrupt characters at high baud rates (115200, default for Microtik routers known to work OK with other cables), perfectly functional at 9600 baud for router rescue purposes. Overall good value but required some fiddling to make it work for my application.
