Dyson V7, V8, V10, SV10 Hose Extension, 967764-01 96776401 Quick Release

This is a genuine Dyson product and fits perfectly on the V8 handheld unit. It is intended to be used with the crevice tool and soft brushes (note that it doesn't allow drive of the motorised heads). A nice touch is that the end joint rotates freely which makes it even more of a pleasure to use. Brilliant when trying to clean the car or dashboard with a dusting/brush tool as it allows you to move the cleaning tool whole keeping the main power unit at a convenient position away from the head. Probably a bit pricey but I'm very pleased with it.

Just like the rest of the Dyson line - this is a perfect piece of tool. The only thing anyone could wish, that this flexible hose would be included with all handheld Dysons above V8. Because of the size of all vacuums from v9-11 you will have no chance to properly clean the interior of your car or sensitive surfaces at your home. The V 10-11 is simply TO BIG AND TO HEAVY to be manouvered by one hand. To big for the car and too heavy for sensitive surfaces at home.

Perfect for cleaning cars where you need control of the crevice nozzle or fine dusting brush to reach the far front of a dashboard. Also very useful for house dusting when using the fine surface brush. Extends to about 2 feet or 31cm and recoils fully when released. This does not transmit electricity to drive power tool heads as expected but is a welcome addition when using other tools and brushes. I use it every week to good effect.

Flexible extension to Dyson vac also fitted V11. No wiring inside so does not power motorised tools, and in fact has slight interference with motorised tools. Perfect for ordinary vac tools is why you really want this to make them more adaptable for tight spaces. Cheap, flexible, fits, does the job.

I have just bought a Dyson V11 and thought that an extension hose was an essential bit of kit to get into those hard to get to places that, lets be fair are in every home. The nearest I could get to what I thought would work was the above mentioned, although it did not state that it was compatible to the V11, but I can confirm after receiving the extension hose “yes” it fits the V11 perfectly. Yet Again there are some differences to the write-up on the extension hose that I will confirm. Firstly the retracted length 180cm. = (7”inches) and the full extended length 500cm. ( 1’-8”inches). I have measure this from (Red Button to Red Button) this without any of the brushes or crevice attachments. In my opinion this extension hose is, and, will be an asset to any Dyson cordless, I hope this has helped you in any future decision you may make in buying an extension hose.

Great quality, this is a genuine hose from Dyson. Handy to use in the car, extension quite usable.

You would think the price you pay for a Dyson they would come with all the tools, but they don’t lol so I got this item and I am very happy with it ! Helps with cleaning in those tight spaces your machine won’t squeeze into. Nice little addition to anyone that has a Dyson.

This is a genuine Dyson product, which came in a branded Dyson box, so it's a legitimate product unlike some of the 'spares' on Amazon. I bought it for my Cyclone V10 Animal - it works well enough but there are a few problems.First it does NOT extend to 1.2M as per the description - at best including both end connectors it extends to about 58cm which is HALF of the stated length. Second it doesn't work with the powered heads, which isn't mentioned in the description - I wasn't actually expecting it to do this but it isn't mentioned and should be. Third it doesn't stay extended, which immensely annoying - you can pull it out but as soon as you stop pulling it reverts to its non-extended form, so to keep using it you have to keep pressure on it, which I'm sure over time must be bad for the flimsy material it's built from.Overall it's not a very good product but there isn't really anything else available if you want a genuine Dyson accessory, or even if you want a compatible one. It's quite annoying to use, but better for hard to reach places especially rather trying to cram the entire vacuum cleaner in there. It's also a lot easier to move around than the whole machine, which means it's better for using to clean things that require a little accuracy or that are delicate. I use it to clean the inside of my PC for example, or to clean the car or behind things that are fragile, so in that respect it works, but it could be a much much better product if the "geniuses" at Dyson had actually product tested it.
