3AA(LR6) to D Size Parallel Battery Convertor Adapter Holder (pack of 4)

The DSLRKIT AA to D battery adapters are really useful. They let me convert my old rechargeable AA batteries into D size without having to buy expensive D-size rechargeables. The adapters feel sturdy, fit well, and work perfectly in my devices. For a pack of 4, they’re excellent value for money and a simple way to make the most of existing batteries.

I have been slowly dragging a 6 D cell Maglite into the 21st century (Trigger’s torch). I have gone from original bulb, through krypton to LED. Now I have replaced the D cells with 6 of these and a bundle of rechargeable AA cells. These are simple metal and plastic holders. The fit of the AA cells is very snug which inspires confidence. They fulfill my requirement in the torch. Too early to tell if they are robust enough for long term use.

Nicely made product, of impressively robust construction. In fact, I was pleased to see just how flimsy they were NOT. Also, the ability to take one, two, or three AAs per adaptor is pretty convenient. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase, and feel I got a good deal because of the low price. Because I did not have an immediate need to put them to use, the long delivery time was not a problem. Yes, I rather hope the people making these adaptors sell a lot of them, because they deserve to, given that three AAs in parallel do make a very reasonable substitute for a single D cell, and that D cells that happen to be rechargable are pretty much unobtainable. Just so you know, they fit perfectly inside a Maglite.

Great adaptors - very useful and well made. Each can accept up to three AA batteries, and they are wired in parallel. I use mine with rechargeable cells and it saves me useful amounts of money over the now hard to find D sized disposables. I have mine plugged into a couple of old clocks and a megaphone. This is the second batch I've purchased and I'm happy to recommend them.

These were much better than I expected. They seem to be good quality . Time will tell as always I suppose, They work with any combination of AA batteries. I have tried them with three, two and one battery per converter. Obviously the more batteries you use the longer the power will last. I definitely recommend them. Saves a fortune on buying D size batteries now. They will pay for themselves in no time. Really happy i found these.

I wanted to get some NiMh rechargable D cells for an old radio and a torch. But they're quite expensive, so I bought a bunch of these AA to D convertors. They work really well and hold the cells securely. They take 3 AA cells each, though for low drain applications you could use just 1 or 2 in each convertor. Now I only need to keep 1 size of battery (AA) around the house which is more flexible.

I have different versions of the AA to D adapter. They use 1, 2 and upto 3 cells. This 3 cell type is my favorite as not only do you get triple the capacity they will work with fewer cells if required. I have used these in 3D cell Maglights I converted to LED as these will greatly reduce the weight of the flashlight while the LED bulb makes the light more efficient so the reduction in capacity is not noticed. Also I like using these with rechargeable NiMH cells as I never had a NiMH cell leak but Alkalines it’s only a matter of time.

Das Problem mit den dicken Mono-Zellen Typ D ist ja: die sind super teuer und super schwer. Und es gibt keine Mono-Lithium-Batterien, was ein Problem sein kann, falls man diese etwas länger lagern möchte. Der Adapter "DSLRKIT" ist für mich die perfekte Lösung: 3 x Mignon AA lassen sich leicht in das stabil wirkende Gehäuse einklicken und ersetzen 1 x Monozelle D - und das Beste: parallel geschaltet! Habe ich eben nachgemessen: Die Spannung bleibt -zumindest bei dem Adapter, die ich bekommen habe- konstant auf 1,5 V. So kann ich auch z.B. eine Maglite Stabtaschenlampe oder ein Radio mit Mignon-Akkus betreiben. Und es kann nix kaputt gehen wegen zu hoher Spannung. Ich bin von dem Produkt absolut begeistert.
