Aarzoo - wish

Movie is great from what we could see. Unfortunately we received a bad disc and were unable to watch quite a few parts.

Never saw the film. It came with several scratches

I originally passed this over but a Sri Lankan friend recommended it.I wasnt sure about it at the start. OK romantic triangle. Madhuri Dixit, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar were all quite watchable. There was a gratuitous fight scene early on that had no obvious reason for being there other than to display some macho action. I hadn't seen Akshay in a movie this early and he looked very attractive (albeit with a classic Beatles haircut!) He didn't seem that sensuous and able to display chemistry in the love scenes whereas Saif was better at that.But somewhere the plot became interesting and I settled into it. There are certainly some unbelievable bits of action even for a Bollywood. However you aren't really sure which guy she'll get, who attempted to kill Akshay's character and whether Saif's may or may not be involved.I'm not sure whether I would have chosen to resolve it as they did but Saif did manage to well in tear for me at one point so you can't knock that.The music (with one exception) wasn't that memorable, nor the dance. If you are a Madhuri fan she did her traditional style of dance well as she had done in other movies. Dance isn't the strong suit of either Akshay or Saif but they were OK with what they were given. I don't recall it as having much emphasis on song and dance as a movie overall.If this seems a fragmented review its because it was hard to sum it up and my view of it shifted as it went.A bit of 'Net research tells me this had diverse responses as a movie. Some thought it silly and some thought it really good as an action movie or alternatively as a romance.Overall I'm glad I bought it and will hold onto it. There was enough romance to sustain it for me and enough 'whodunit' in the plot development. 3 1/2 probable is more an accurate rating for me.

This movie was ridiculous. Even though I like Saif Ali Khan this movie was Ridiculous. Way too melodramatic. Even for Bollywood. Songs were flat and unmemorable. Costumes and hair were horrific. Who wrote this thing and why? And even more why did they produce it? And who edited it? So there you go. Stay away from this movie!
