Great pins. I have so far used them on thick curtain linings and they were great. They held really well.

There's not much I feel I an say on pins but i'll try - these pin down things well, though they do sometimes struggle to get through the thicker girlguiding badges and blanket once they're through they stay, they are sturdy, none have snapped or lost the plastic ball. There's plenty of colours if that's something you need. All uniform in size.
