Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm, Unapologetic

I'm not going to lie; I originally got this purely for the colour. (Standout is a wonderful fall colour, a red with a touch of brown!) I wasn't expecting it to stay on after eating, or last all day. I ate a burrito, and although there was a lot of transfer, the colour remained on my lips. I drank cocktails; and despite minor transfer, the colour remained on my lips. The third event in this series of events is explicit, but the colour remained on my lips with very little transfer (if at all). One application. It's a proper balm stain; it'll act like a balm but take a while (say, half hour) to deposit the colour onto your lips properly. And you can reapply without messing up the previous layer. In fact, the colour will deepen. ...oh, and it has a minty scent to it. Not overwhelming, and you can't taste it, but it's there. I like it, but some people won't.

As a huge lover of all things beauty, I already have quite a large collection of red lipsticks. However, as with shoes, you can never have too many! I've got several of the Revlon Balms but none of them were a matte finish. Matte red lips look so stunning and after seeing this product in a YouTube beauty tutorial, I just HAD to buy it. It's a gorgeous shade of red, perfect for day time or evening and it leaves the lips with a lovely matte finish. However, as it's a matte product, it is a little drying on the lips and I find I have to completely remove the product and re-apply it throughout the day to ensure my lips look good. I find adding a thin coat of lip balm before applying this helps.

I've always had thin lips, so I wasn't sure about wearing a darker lipstick, but this blows every single one I've tried out of the water. The lipstick itself barely feels like it's there at all, with no stickiness or staining (and a slight mint flavour). My only complaint would be that it seems to clump a bit after being reapplied (although it stays on pretty well anyway, even after meals). Deffo going to get some in more colours.

I wanted something I could use daily. I usually buy mac lipsticks, but they're expensive and run out too quickly! So I wanted to try something cheaper, to help my wallet. I ordered 'Standout' believing it to be a dark shade of a burgundy red. But instead, it looked like a rouge red on my lips- very bold. I should've realised from the name- 'Standout' lol Don't misunderstand- the colour is nice, but it wasn't what i expected or wanted. It arrived today so I haven't had the chance to see how long the wear lasts. Strangely enough, it smells like mint? When I removed it with cleansing water, it smudged so easily onto my skin leaving a stain. But it didn't take much to remove that too, just another wipe or two. So it's not too hard to remove, but it does smudge. The pen makes it so easy to apply onto the lips, so that's a bonus. If it weren't for the colour, I'd give it a 4 I guess. I just want all who are considering a purchase to appreciate that standout is not a burgundy shade. It's brighter than you expect.

Great lip stain - I wore 090 Starry Night before and it was discontinued but I found a great replacement with Sultry. Not quite as dark as Starry Night and not sparkly, but just as lovely.

This is the only lip product I can't get enough of. Creamy texture, smooth, nice and reparative effect on the lips, as it is a balm, but very pigmented and covering. Smooth out any tiny wrinkles and dry skin. Love it. The shade is perfect for dark hair light skin.

It's alive red but not tacky. It's highly pigmented and very easy to apply. It stays on for a good bit and fades pretty --- leaves healthy red tint. On a casual day, i put a bit and use my fingers to spread it and it makes me look blooming. When i go out to socialize, i put more and it looks sexy. You can play with the level of red so it's like owning more than one red lipstick for different occasions. It's matte and very slightly drying BUT i put just a bit of any untinted balm and it's good. On some days, the dryness is unnoticeable unless i check it.

El color es muy bonito, en general es buen labial si lo quieres es humectar tus labios además de darles color. Cómo es un producto que humecta, no es de larga duración

This product arrives intact and it’s a color I didn’t have and wanted one to go with my purple colors I wear. It’s moist and the texture feels gear in your lips. It stays on and is smudge resistant. I love this color for its bright purpley color.

I have been using these matte lipsticks since they have been available. I love the texture and the color. Though matte, they don’t dry the lips like other matte lipsticks from other brands and they give a perfect finish. A real pity Revlon has discontinued them.
