05178 Assault Carrier USS WASP Class 1:700 Scale Model Kit

The ship was a great build. The little plane accessories were bland. Had to 3d print some more defined ones.

There are many tiny parts which is great for details but I would suggest older kids or adults and have tweezers available.

Have not had a chance to build it yet. So I cannot attest to the fit. Looking at some of the details on the moldings, they could be a little crisper on that. It looked pretty good.

Revell is a legacy kit producer, who, in my opinion has always produced quality kits at reasonable pricing.

Instructions not in English and extremely small. Hundreds of tiny parts, need small drill really a HUGE disappointment. will never order again.

I would really give this 3.5 stars but I cant do half's on Amazon, The good: Instructions are relatively clear and for painting include the recommended colorations and each stage. Parts are scaled well, nothing looks to thick or too thin, detail is good in most areas, (wish the thunderbolt gun mount was bit more detailed rather than being a plate with the guns molded into it) The bad: Good lord Revell are your parts mold made with chisels? some of the joints on the sproos are way to thick and require lots of sanding to get rid of the marks I'm not sure why the prop shafts on this kit are super delicate, way more so than on the 109 or 588 kits. I broke 2 of them trying to snip them out. Be ready for lots of gap filling, sanding and filling but that's kind of to be expected from Revell kits
