digital fun
This is a lovely piece of kit--lots of uses and fun to own. The fact that everything can be hooked up to your pc and recorded make this a useful item for learning , teaching and catalogueing all its images. I found it well able to do all the small field inspections . Perhaps not the top of the range for a serious student but well within the scope of the amateur and a delight to use . An economic and useful piece of equipment for all but the more proffesional to own & use.

Not worth a penny
After looking for awhile for good and cheaper microscope, nit expert level of doing a thing, but for hobby; I am so much disappointed ordering this rubbish, not even penny worth microscope. What I can not accept, this microscope was reviewed best 10 in an expert site. Possibly a unethical paid review, its a load of lie. And to make it worst, I have bought this far less than a full price in offer, where obviously I can not imagine, I am paying full price which cost almost £75. This is worser than a toy. Made with very cheap materia, and even not function as a microscope. Guaranteed that it fail or fall apart after few use. STOP BUYING THIS IN ALL COST. shame Amazon selling such a rubbish product as Amazon choice. I have returned something after 5 years.

A Fantastic, Interesting educational tool
When I was a little girl I remember that my mum brought me a bright red Early Learning Centre microscope and slides which I absolutely loved and never put down! In fact I think I used it so much that it broke and I was so upset that she had to buy me a new one. Several decades and a science degree later I was looking for something similar for my own children (though they were a little older so needed something more advanced) so brought them this Celestron microscope. I must say that we were all very impressed. Despite what I read in the other reviews, I have had no problems with clearly viewing specimens. It must be noted, however, that it does sometimes take a little time to adjust the microscope to your eyes and focus in (as it does with most microscopes). In fact I remember it taking a long time at school and uni to get it just right, longer than this one. The slides that are included are very good - the bee's wing was particulalry interesting. Though you can also purchase addition prepared slides if you don't want to bother preparing specimens yourself. With regards to what you can view through it though - pretty much anything. We have looked at ants, flower petals and leaves to name just a few. I really do think it is fantastic as it introduces kids to the fun side of science which is important as so many children are losing interested these days. The digital camera is a much added bonus. I have never used one before yet I think it is brilliant. It has taken some fantastic pictures that we can keep and that the kids can show their friends when they come round or even print out and stick into projects for school. I cannot praise it enough.

Not as expected..
It wasn't quite as I expected... In some ways it was too powerful for what i wanted. i.e for looking at very very small items it's fine but for looking at larger objects (such as a diamond I wished to examine) there just isn't enough range to get a focused image. It's not particulary easy to focus - not impossible but does take some getting used too.

great basic microscope
This is a great little kit - the microscope is simple but with good sharp images. I had a microscope as a kid but what put me off was how awkward it was squinting down the eyepiece while fiddling with a little mirror to get the light. This is much easier to use: there is a built in light in the base which you can shine through your sample, and this gives very good illumination. Also comes with a digital camera you can attach and view images on the computer - easier than squinting, although the image isn't quite as sharp as through the eyepiece. Slides that come with it are interesting & pretty, My only gripe is that on the lowest magnification setting with the digital camera attached you can't focus on things which are slightly raised up from the slide (eg I've got a grain of salt on here now) - to fix this you need to unscrew the camera a way - then you can get the image sharp. For £50 - bargain!

Terrible
Sorry but it is, I would be more than happy to tell you the multitude of things wrong but really too many to mention, so my advice is stay well away from this, not even suitable for kids it just to rubbish a product.

It doesnt even deserve 1 star
I advise you not to buy this microscope, it is a complete waste of money. You get blurred lacking colour images even when in 'focus' looking through the viewfinder and the digital camera and its software are absolutely awful, the software is impossible to install bearing in mind it crashes every time you click on it and if you are able to install it when you click on 'VP-EYE' half the time it doesn't detect your camera and even if it does when you go to click view it freezes and crashes your computer. Also the tacky plastic body is of rubbish quality and the light doesn't stay still on its tilt. Also the eyepiece has such a miniscule hole to look through its hard to even see what you are looking at.

Would recommend spending a little more and get something else or going with the cheaper model of this as a toy. It doesn't work properly in all magnification modes and breaks easily.

Arrivato puntuale, imballaggio perfetto. Ottimo rapporto prestazioni prezzo.

Saludos!!!
