Effective, nonoff flavours, and strong. Made for great mead
Awesome yeast. It's called the beast for a reason. Used it for 3 batches of mead so far, never introduced any off flavors, and got all 3 right up to 14% abv. I used some fermaid at the start just tonreally kick things off, and this yeast chugged on perfectly until dry. Will be using moving forward, and looking forward to my next batches!

Great for my Concord Grapes
This worked out great for my home grown Concord Grape wine. It became very active within 14 hours and has completed the process. Flavor is great, and the fragrance is superb.

It works!
Yeast seems to be very active… I started a fermentation with 71B 3 days after I started one with cote de blanc and it finished faster than the cote de blanc… we’ll see how the flavor profile turns out, but so far I’m impressed.

A Mead Makers Must!
My absolute go to for mead making. Excellent quality and balanced flavor. Fermentation can be a bit aggressive in the right temps but once you learn the averages this yeast is a staple for home brewing. And great pricing for the 10pk

Best "go-to" yeast for basic meads
Best all around and "go-to" yeast I use regularly for my Mead.

Worked as expected.
Pretty active ferment for this years harvest of Briana grapes. Thought it was stuck at first but a shake and a stir proved otherwise.

This yeast type is great! It smooths out acidic notes in whatever you’re brewing and makes the drink taste less bitter (if you’re using bitter fruits like cherries and raspberries), it’s easy to use but quite temperature sensitive, but it’s very effective at its job when looked after correctly!! This is my go to yeast and it’s worth every penny.

Still got a great expiry date! Great price for how much you get. Lalvin 71B is known to be the best for fruit mead or melomel. I've made a lot of sour tart cherry melomel with 71B with fantastic results compared to other yeasts. It'll go up to 14% ABV which is strong enough to make it worth brewing and low enough for it to be drinkable!

This is my choice of yeast for mead and wine. Ive brewed basic mead, fruit meads and wines, this often helps bring out bright flavours. I think I'll buy some more as its so easy to use and provides fairly quick and high quality results.
