HG descaler for appliances

I live in a hard water area and have a glass, see-through kettle, so limescale builds up quickly and is very noticeable. i’ve bought this product multiple times and it works exactly as described. The instructions are clear and it’s very easy to use. i usually fill the kettle, add the solution and leave it for around half an hour. the limescale lifts really well and the kettle looks visibly clearer afterwards. There’s no smell or residue left behind, although as you’d expect you do need to rinse thoroughly afterwards if using it on a kettle or coffee machine. i’ve tried the sachets you can buy in the past but they’ve never been as effective as this. I tend to use it about once every three months and it keeps things in good condition. definitely a five-star product and one i’d happily keep repurchasing.

I had to use almost half of bottle to clear scale from kettle needed several goes but in the end gave up. did not clear all the scale.So will not be buying again.

Works as described, but descaling a kettle with simple acetic acid (white vinegar) seems to be far more effective for me

I switched to this descaler in June 2021, after I read some reviews, and was annoyed at the high price of the Delonghi descaler. I have a Delonghi ECAM bean to cup machine, which decided to "die" on me in 2021. This happened 6 months after getting the machine properly serviced and also despite descaling the machine using Delonghi's own descaler monthly. What happened is that the machine was simply not dispensing at all anymore, and was obviously clogged up somewhere. Called the service guy who said that I should buy a new one as this model is old. So as I wasn't keen on spending a fortune on a new coffee machine, I tried to descale the machine harshly with pure white vinegar, which is not recommended. But that was the electroshock the machine needed. It started dispensing again. So that showed me that Delonghi's descaler was not very efficient, yet expensive (at about £12 for 500ml, i.e. 5 cleans), and this is where I started to look around. Read reviews about HG's quick descaler, gave it a try, and at £4 for 500ml, which is 5 cleans for my coffee machine (I use 100ml in 1L), brings it down to under £1 per clean, against £2.40 using Delonghi's sock juice. Well, after the very 1st descaling try, my coffee machine was dispensing quicker, so that showed me it cleaned even more after the vinegar. So I have now switched to HG's descaler, and can only recommend it. Just bought my 2nd bottle (01/01/2022), and I am happy to repport that my coffee machine is still well and trully alive, doing what it does best.

I even left it in for an hour. No change in my kettles. I did 2 of them.
