Extended shower base is needed for certain types of shower install
Worked fine for my basement shower install. I wish the manufacturer explained prominently on their website that the extended shower base would be needed for certain types of install. I had to order the extended base after assembling the shower stall delaying completion of the project.

Great product wish they sold it with the shower
Fit perfect. Really helped out on getting that one and a half inch drain underneath it. Wish they would have sold us along with the shower stall instead of two different shipping orders. Very sturdy! Glad I got it. Works great

charged to return item!...
My plumber said this was poor quality and that I should not put this in my nice home. So I returned the shower to Menards and this base to Amazon. But I did not realize it was from a 3rd party and they charged quite a bit to return..Like $20.00. I will be more aware before purchasing that the returns are free!

Very sturdy and easy to install. Fits very well, However should come pre cut for drain line.
