Le Creuset Stoneware Heritage Butter Dish, Oyster

Honestly, I never thought I’d be this hyped about a butter dish, but here we are. I’m really liking this one. Why it’s a win: • It’s Gorgeous: The grey (Oyster) color looks super sleek. It’s one of those items that actually makes my kitchen look more "put together." • Built Like a Tank: It has that heavy, high-quality feel you expect from Le Creuset. It doesn't feel fragile or cheap at all. • Actually Works: It keeps the butter at that perfect "easy to spread" texture without it getting gross or oily. Plus, the handle on top is easy to grab. • Easy Cleanup: I just throw it in the dishwasher and it comes out looking brand new. One heads up: It's sized perfectly for a standard stick of butter. If you buy those massive chunky blocks, you might have to trim them down a bit to get the lid to sit flush. Bottom line: If you’re tired of looking at a messy butter wrapper or a cheap plastic tub, just get this. It’s a nice little daily upgrade.

Beautiful well made dish. The handles make it easy to access butter without getting messy. The grey is as pictured. Can machine wash but we like to hand wash Le Crueset. Heavy and durable.

This butter dish is large enough to hold two regularly sized sticks of butter, side-by-side. The soft gray outside of the dish is quite pleasing and would blend with just about any kitchen decor. It is easy to remove the lid, and the loop handle at the top allows it to sit without getting butter on anything else when placed on its top. The smooth surface of the dish, inside and out makes it quite functional, and easy to clean with just a paper towel. I've not seen a comparable dish for the price, so you will surely agree that it is a great value. The lid seals well when closed, so we keep it on the countertop so the butter is soft and easily spreadable.

I purchased this for myself daughter for a Christmas present. She had mentioned that she would like one. We both like Le Creuset cookware. She was pleased with her gift. The dish is larger than my Le Creuset butter dish as it’s a different model. It was affordable at $35 from Amazon & Le Creuset products are all durable. Example: I’m using a small saucepan with lid that my mom received as a wedding gift in 1957. The butter dish keeps your butter protected & soft for daily use at room temperature! We both enjoy purchasing Le Creuset products for each other for gifts! It’s quality merchandise. I collect Flame color & my daughter likes Cerise! I believe it came in a variety of colors!

I love all things Le Creuset, and this is no exception. I love the lid design- the handle makes it easy to remove without dropping it, and it fits securely and tightly. I did a lot of searching, and many other brands I found had that problem consistently. It appears to accommodate European as well as American butter. Le Creuset products are made so well and with quality materials that are really built to last, which is why I come back again and again. As for the price point, this one was only about 10-15.00 more than the average one for sale on Amazon. Why spend 25.00 for a brand I've never heard of, made with who knows what, when for a little more I can buy one that's pure quality and elegant. Worth every penny.

Sleek and functional butter dish. My DIL loves it!

I'm writing a review because didn't see any photos with the white butter dish or any showing if it fits the Kerry gold block butter stick, which is does!! So happy I went with this one. The other larger le creuset butter dish just seemed to be too expensive for a butter dish ($50). This one is more demure, less bulky looking, and of course fits the larger butter stick. Super happy with this. Rated 4/5 stars because it doesn't seem more sturdy than any other ceramic butter dish, but I am otherwise happy.
