Excellent quality and very good value for money

I originally bought 5mm for a large lawnmower restring and was impressed by the quality of both the cord and the reel on which it came. Most other cord comes as a floppy hank but this cord is relatively rigid & dense (suggesting a tight weave). I bought the 3mm and 4mm for smaller engines (both now used) and have measured the cord to give some comparison guide for those who need to replace like with like: 3mm = 3.13mm measured 4mm = 3.84mm 5mm = 4.61mm Hope this assists someone.

Early days but so far it works and I have more for future needs.

This product is excellent value and the 3mm rope is compatible with Honda mowers. Previously I had use a 3.5mm rope that had a looser weave and it was inclined to snag the recoil in the spring. This rope, which was a lot less expensive does a much better job.

Will last for years and I replaced all the different pulley ropes on my different machines. Well worth the money.

AFter 12 years the starting cord of my lawn mower finally frayed completely and broke. This Oregon started cord is sturdy and stiff, exactly how it should be. Earlier I ordered milspec 500 paracord (after reading somewhere that this would serve equally well as a started cord) but this is too supple, thin and weak in my opinion. The Oregon 4.5 mm is a tight fit, but I managed to install it in my lawn mower and it now starts again. I expect it to last longer than the remaining lifetime of the mower itself.
