REMOVE BLACK PLUG!!!
Brilliant bit of kit that fits perfectly. Bought it as we bought a new washing machine but panicked the new washing machine was broken because it wouldn't drain. Even flooded the whole kitchen draining the machine manually!! Now black plug is removed our washing machine is working perfectly...word of advice is to always read reviews first!!!

It fits perfectly. Doesn't leak at all. Perfect for the connection. The black plug has to be removed.

Not 40mm, it's a 2" fitting
Bought for my 40mm pipework, but was way oversize.Measured it and it's actually 2" (around 52mm).Am trying to send back.
