DeWalt 240V 184mm 65mm Compact Circular Saw in Kitbox

Purchased this to replace my old circular saw that burnt out. Have learnt from experience not to buy cheap versions of tools. Paying a little extra may be considered overkill if you don't use it much, but generally the dearer tools are better/easier to use and last longer. This saw purrs and cuts through boards with ease. A lot quieter and less vibration than my old one. Has plenty of power. Blade is good. Holds its cut line better than my old one, and blows the sawdust away from cut line. Doesn't have a lazer line light like my old one, but found I didn't miss it. Can recommend this saw.

The usual DeWalt quality. Just used it to cut a 1mtr wide 45mm thick solid Oak worktop - absolutely brilliant, an exceptional easy cut

Excellent tool, replaced my old Black&Decker saw when it failed to cut the bottom off a couple of doors that needed trimming after having a carpet fitted. Very impressed with the light weight and even more impressed with the almost zero vibration from this machine. It cut through the doors like cutting through paper. It never pays to try and do a job unless you have the correct tools and in good condition, the initial outlay out ways the hassle of dealing with rubbish tools.

Great tool used to finish off my decking. Obviously new blade but cuts well and relatively true. Only downside for me is no dustbag.

Really good saw. DeWalt confidence. On the other reviews saying it won’t go back in the case after use, I have solved this. The key thing to do is to put the cutting depth back to 65 cm (max) and it will then easily sit back in there.

Recently had deep pile carpets with 11m underlay fitted meaning all the doors needed to be trimmed to fit.I was reluctant to pay somebody to do it and was getting it in the neck from the missus for having all the doors off the hinges for too long, so loving a dewalt power tool i bought this. I have never used a circular saw before but this thing is fantastic did 9 doors in an afternoon, so easy to use. I paired it with DeWalt DT10303-QZ 184mm Corded Extreme Framing Blade and it went through those doors so smoothly i could barely tell it was cutting. I didn't score the doors first either and yet it still cut them clean. Buy this.

Unlike comments in some reviews the blade was supplied fully tightened up (but you are a fool if you ever use a power tool without checking it over thoroughly every time you go to use it). Its heavier than my old B&D unit, but it is a bigger and more powerful unit, having said that it handled easily and on the tests I've made gives a beautiful clean cut (wish I'd saved the money I spent on extra carbide fine toothed blades)

I bought this circular saw as it came with a carry case to keep it neat and tidy when stored what a great circular saw. I used it last week for the first time to cut 6m lengths of timber and sheet material whilst replacing my garage roof. Cut through everything like a hot knife in butter and without an effort. I would recommend this model of circular saw. Very pleased.
