Great sticks
These have lasted me ages! I used to buy nylon tipped sticks because I found the tips would break too easily. But these are going strong. Only one has broken so far and that was due to wearing down the stick from the amount of use.

Nice sticks
I'm not a pro drummer (going about 3 years, now getting half way decent) so I don't know about stick varieties, tuning drums, that kind of thing. But I ordered these because most of my other sticks are standard white and they all get mixed up! I thought these looked cool with the 'burnt wood' effect. So, bearing in mind I'm nooby - I like them. I'm using them on my home electric kit and all is well so far. They do look nicer. A key worry was if they'd be slippy - I use uncoated sticks because I find sticks that are laquered or coated to be slippery. I don't know if I have extra slippy hands or that is just a feel some people like and others don't, but I don't. Anyway, these are not 'slippery' (thanks to those who gave their views on slipperyness before I bought them). In fact, I am going to buy another pair, to use for open mic nights - being different to the others, they'll not get mixed up with the provided ones or other drummers ones. It's not exactly scientific I know. I can't comment on back/for'ard weighting, the benefit of the shape of the nubbin on the end or anything else! Next key thing for me will be if they hold up for long enough when hitting metal cymbals rather than rubbery ones...

These are great sticks
These really are great sticks, you definitely apply less grip to the stick, I’d say if I there was an negatives is that the tips don’t last any longer than regular sticks.

Interesting and intriguing sticks
These feel different to untreated wood. Not in a bad way. They seem tougher without being necessarily brittle. I chose the 'rebound' balance version and it feels good to me. Not fond of front heavy sticks so it was an easy choice to make. Rebound refers to the way the stick responds to a stroke. It is balanced so that it favours neither butt nor tip. A bit pricey but if they actually last longer that should work out. I'd like to know if a maple version will be available. I prefer a slightly thicker diameter with less weight than hickory provides. Overall a nice confident feeling stick.

A good weighty pair of sticks.
These sticks are quite heavy, although in keeping with a 5B stick. They also seem stiffer/harder than the average 5B. I do find the extra stiffness/hardness can transmit a bit of extra vibration through the stick to my fingers. I am not sure if this is bad technique on my part or a characteristic of the stick. Regardless I expect these sticks to last a long time and they look cool too.

Vic Firth has been dethroned
Been drumming for 15 years, these are the most reliable and cost efficient sticks I’ve found. 5a rebound is also a versatile and easily controlled size. Would recommend for beginners or anyone who wants a stick that lasts a while and does a good job of most playing styles

I used these for the first time on August 30 a three-hour show with my band. They definitely don't look as good as when I started, but they played amazingly well, and I feel like they are going to hold up as well or better than other sticks I've used before. The 5ab size is perfect for me, I love the way they kinda sit right in between the 5a and 5b sizes. They are weighted very well, and the length is perfect for me. I didn't feel like I had to reach as much as I did with my previous sticks, which are a bit shorter. But I also didn't find myself getting tangled up under cymbals like I have with longer ones. ProMark has always been my first choice for sticks; they haven't let me down yet, and I've been playing for 26 years.
