STANLEY Essential Rolling Workshop Toolbox, 3-in1 Stackable Units, Portable Tool Solution, STST1-80151

Having kept various tools and pieces of DIY equipment scattered in various boxes and cupboards around the home, it was good to at last bring them all together in one place by using this excellent and good value Stanley branded toolbox.I have a bit of a lack of storage space in my house, no garden to speak of and no shed so I have found this large capacity toolbox made of sturdy plastic perfect for my needs. As well as having enough space for all of the usual tools and various other DIY supplies, it stacks well and fits very nicely in my understairs cupboard.The unit has three tiers; two deep boxes which are excellent for accommodating power tools (including their batteries and chargers) and other larger items and a middle tray that can hold other tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, spanners and so on. The three boxes are held together by good quality plastic latches and the lid of the top box has decent metal latches; these all feel robust and snap into place in a satisfying way. There are also a couple of flip top compartments on top of the toolbox which you can fit smaller tools or fixings in.Once everything is stowed nicely in the toolbox, it can be pretty heavy but the extendable handle and large, robust wheels make it easy to manoeuvre your equipment about. The top box has a padlock loop built in which could deter casual theft but perhaps not anything more serious. The bottom two tiers have no such security measure but to be honest, I’m not that convinced that locks on these types of toolboxes are really that effective anyway.I’m not personally bothered about the security of this product as I keep it indoors anyway but if you need a secure setup for your toolkit perhaps another product might suit you better. I would also say that while this toolbox is solid enough for use in and around the home, again, for professional use a heavier duty option might be better.Overall, I’m really pleased with this product. It is a pretty robust toolbox with plenty of space, is portable and is a good price for the quality.

Able to hold a lot of weight and drag through the field to fix my tractor. Very versatile with the detachable sections to take as many or as few tools as you need.

I seem to have accumulated a lot of tools and needed some extra storage. I had set my mind to buy a portable stacking system and this rig caught my eye.They are reasonably well made for a mass produced plastic product. When stacked they have gaps between the layers at the sides which may be an issue for in-shed storage but not for me.For the price I don't think you can quibble and if you need pro level tradesmen tool chests, expect to pay a lot more. If you have collected quite a few tools and want to have a system that isn't a single box of everything crammed altogether, for occasional use then this is your calling.The clips work just as well as any other similar system I've used. The wheels and handle the same. The ability to hide the expensive tool you bought is possible.Cons:The useful portable tray where you would keep frequently used light tools is the middle section so essentially you have to completely disassemble the whole stack just to carry the tray with your screw drivers etc. but other than that no other real challenges.It's a bit smaller than expected, but more a deficiency on my enthusiasm to use a tape measure to understand how big it really is more than anything else but it's not tiny and can hold a lot.For the price I was happy with the product and can recommend for a DIY enthusiast and also for a tradesperson who has a lot of gear to manage and move. but is not expecting pro level gear.

Perfect unit for storage of tools particularly if you are a hobbyist like me.

This is absolutely amazing. Very handy, spacious and robust. Slightly disappointed as the packaging says splash and weather proof but when left outside in the rain for about 20 minutes, it was full of water.

This Stanley stackable tool box is great and for the size of it you can get a great deal of tools inside it. I use the bottom box (one with wheels) to store my battery power tools along with chargers, I have managed to fit in three different power tools and chargers for all three, the next box up I use for everyday tools, spanner’s, sockets, screwdrivers etc. And then the top box is used for larger items such as WD40 spray, larger hand tools etc.I live in an apartment and storage space is limited but this fit lovely down the side of my wash hand basin and is completely out of the way, I have it covered by an old towel to stop moisture getting into the tools themselves, this works a treat.Would I recommend this stackable tool box???? You bet your bottom dollar I would, holds loads and is sturdy even though it’s made from blown plastic.

Absolutely amazing!!! Hopedni could fit more in, but thats because I was being greedy. I have now centralised all my tools because of this amazing tool box, I am very happy with my purchase! Would definitely recommend buying in the any sale and now I have it, I may have paid full proce for it. Worth every penny!
