Great childrens book, daughter requests tjis as bed time story often. Fun sentences , makes her giggle at my attempts to read quickly. Recommend

Easy for my child to read in year 1 independently and came in great condition

As has already been said in several other reviews, this is a book of tongue twisters that make it a fun, but challenging read. It's not a book that would help our son (who is four) learn to read, as there are other Dr. Seuss books which are much better for that. Some children's books are boring to read out aloud and they're more likely to put me to sleep at bedtime than our son. This is certainly not the case with Fox in Socks! Some Dr. Seuss books aren't that long, but Fox in Socks is about the right length for reading to a pre-schooler in my opinion, as it keeps their attention with the wonderful drawings and rhymes. The only real negative is that sometimes these books feel a bit dated, but as they are still as popular as ever I don't think that matters and certainly not to children.

Bought this for my 6yr old as he had been reading Dr Seuss book's at school and wanted me to buy some for home reading. This book is brilliant the tongue twists are insane and it makes him laugh everytime I read it and mess up but I am getting better. He has now attempted to read it himself and did exceptionally well

This book is great for working on pronunciation practice with students. The first several pages have very simple grammar. My students love tongue twisters so we'll work on one or two pages at a time. Makes a good in-between lesson, or a good lesson if you didn't have time to prepare anything. Some of the grammar is too difficult for middle school students, but with some extra vocabulary they can do most of it. They also really like to try. この本はとても楽しい！全部は早く言葉です。私はアメリカじんですけどまだチャレンジです。子供と少しずつ読んだら面白い。言葉は簡単ですけど発音は難しいです。

I bought 8 different books by Dr. Seuss for my young grandaughters. Of course I had to read them first because I love his books. I think when I give them to the kids, this one in particular, I will read it to them. I could hardly read it aloud without my tongue feeling twisted. But it was hilarious. I think that after I read it they will love the challenge of reading it themselves. I'm glad they love to read and it's great to have books like this for younger readers.
