Good little unit
Pros: -Gets hot fast. -Very small form factor, it's half as big as I expected. That is a massive pro. -Controls are easy enough, I quite like having 3 preset temps you can immediately switch between. -Optional barrel jack input is a nice touch for running off of batteries. -Included charger is excellent. -Included cable is also excellent. Silicone, super flexy, and does 65W no problem. Cons: -Still a little skeptical of the solder this ships with. Sometimes it behaves very oddly. Just about used it up though, so that won't trouble me long. -What will trouble me long is that the tip burned off or otherwise lost it's coating very rapidly. I've never had an iron that burned its tip and wouldn't melt solder, even my ancient dinosaur weller might be ugly as anything but as long as you put a dab of solder on the tip it's good to go. I had to scrub it very thoroughly with brass wool and then retin it to get it working again, and since then I've had to do the whole procedure twice more. The tips are cheap enough and super easy to change, so there's that. Maybe I just got a lemon tip. Either way, slightly annoying. All in all though, it's a fantastic little unit for a quick solder on the go. It seems like once I got it, I suddenly have tons of little solder jobs to do out in the wild where it's the perfect fit.

Compact and Powerful Soldering Iron
After doing extensive research for a modern soldering iron, I decided on this kit, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It checked all the boxes for what I was looking for, and when it arrived, it exceeded my expectations. Despite being small and lightweight, it delivers impressive performance when needed. The USB-C power functionality is a fantastic feature, adding convenience and ease of use. I highly recommend reading the manual thoroughly, as understanding how it works enhances its performance. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase and would buy it again without hesitation.

It works after i purchased a better tip
The tip it came with doesn’t work for my application. I don’t think it heats properly as for the smallest wire i can’t tin and the temp jumps all over the place. Also the solder this comes with is trash. Ts101 should be sold as the unit only and let us pick the tips and accessories we want separately. I think i should have purchased the pinecil v2 instead, especially if I had to buy a new tip to make this work properly. Updated 4/12/24: After contacting support, they advised me after plugging in the iron, with the tip that was acting up, to hold down the front button for 15 seconds. Then try to use it. This seemed like it corrected the 60c range it fluctuated. Was able to solder up a fpv quad quite easily. Note… the solder it comes with is still trash. 🤣

Small and powerful.
I have to admit I had my doubts about this before purchasing. It heats up quickly and it is powerful enough to use on bigger jobs. It's lightweight and comfortabl. Disassembled, it takes so little room it is now part of my EDC kit.

Fantastic soldering iron
My favorite soldering iron I have ever used. I wish the USB-C cable it came with was a bit longer, but if you're like me, you have a bird's nest of USB cables stashed away that you can use. Highly recommend!

waste of money
Would give it zero stars if possible. Does not maintain a high enough heat to work effectively. Picked this up because it had great reviews. Should have tested it when it arrived. didn't have cause to use it until today, wish it was still in the return window because it's useless. Could not solder a simple d-sub connector.

Tool works great
Overall the product works great. You get plenty of heat in a short amount of time. The control of the heat is good as well. I like the slim size of the tool. Easy to hold while soldering. The only glitch was the solder that came with the tool. It just wouldn't melt right. When I switched to a spool I had around the house it worked perfectly.

The provided power brick stopped working after a measly 2 minutes. The Iron had just reached temp when I heard a click and the screen went out. Tried using another one that I had on hand and it thankfully powered on...
