This fibre optic lamp is of good quality. The optic fibres are soft for baby hands and faces so they're not sharp and prickly. Considering the rough baby handling, only one or two fibres have come off ...so far. The colour changes are awesome if somewhat distracted by the colour changing base. My grandchild loves it and I would recommend this item. It's worth the little extra money for a product that lasts.

Wonderful - highly recommended. I bought this lamp for my 13year old who was having trouble sleeping as she was restless and found it difficult to calm down. Wow is all I've got to say! She has gone from staying awake until 2am to falling asleep within 30 minutes. Thank you so much. The lamp is sturdy, a perfect size for a bedside lamp, uses batteries and they are lasting a while so far. The effect is really lovely, the colours are beautiful and it is really pleasant to gently run your hands across it and see it move. The lamp is steady as the base is heavy enough without it being too heavy. It is the perfect level of brightness. It's very portable as it's powered by batteries. The only thing that could make it better would be if it was possible to set it for an hour for example as my daughter often falls asleep before turning it off.

These are very pretty in the dark, but the battery fitting is a little temperamental (I thought they were broken but it turned out the batteries have to be inserted *just right*). The crystal base is lovely, the fibre optics are just as they should be, the colour change is gentle and attractive (but becomes jaggy and incorrect when the batteries run down). All in all a very nice light, which could be improved to make it perform better.

Really nice product. Colours are lovely and very soothing for sensory seekers. However, it's very expensive and the pieces fall out very easily

Arrived very well packed, comes inside a plastic container, in a cardboard box which was in another box so no risk of damage in transit. It takes 3 AAA batteries which you will need a little screwdriver for to open the battery case, easily done in minutes, there is a button underneath the base so you can turn it on and off as you want. As soon as you take it out of the box the spray of optics is lovey, lot's there and seem's really full in comparison to cheaper versions you. The crystal base is a lovely touch which shines the colour upwards. The colours rotate between blue, red, yellow and green and this is done gradually which is a lovely touch so you almost get a mix of green and yellow together, before the next change. There was no noise from it at all just a gentle change of colour. The base changes colour in the same rotation as the optics. I brought this for my nephew who needs sensory play and this is ideal, there is nothing that can cause harm, the battery case is screwed in place and the optics seem firm and stand up to playing with them. I will take a video of this in the dark and add it to the review so you can see it. Very pleased.

I received this on November 18th and took it out of the packaging and I've left it so it has time for the bristles to spread out. Photo was taken on January 5th and it shows how little they have spread out. It arrived packed in a box with the bristles tied together at the top. The base is clear and had gems in which shine through the light and looks lovely. The light although not pictured is really nice and bright, just brought down by it not spreading out. The wire is a good feature that not many have, saves on battery usage and saves from the light fading as they die. Only downside is how the bristles don't spread out. Still really pretty. Bought it for my 9 month old for sensory play.

Bei dieser Lampe interessierte mich nur das Glasfaserbündel (transparent), welches ich beim Light-Painting einsetze. Glasfaserbündel und Lampensockel ließen sich problemlos vom trennen. Für die Verbindung meiner LED-Taschenlampe LED Lenser P7 QC Taschenlampe Box, RGB, High Performance Line, P-Serie, 4x AAA, 9407-Q mit dem Glasfaserbündel sorgt ein Verbindungsstück (mit Rohrisolierungen & Panzertape gebaut) (siehe Bild). Beim Light-Painting kann erzielt man mit dem weißen Glasfaserbündel sehr schöne diffuse Farbakzente. Dabei wedelt man mit dem Glasfaserbündel an den stellen herum, an denen man die Lichtakzente setzen will. Mit etwas Übung kann man auch schönen farbigen "Nebel" erzeugen. (siehe Bilder) Anregungen zur Verwendung findet man auf dem großen Videoclip-Portal (einfach ZOLAQ als Suchbegriff eingeben) Mein Fazit: Gut für Light-Painting einsetzbar. Besonders gut für diffuse Farbeffekte

This is an excellent product. Apparently the seller has taken pains to be sure the product is checked before sending it out, and the packaging is protective. I have read other reviews of the fiber optic lamp which have criticized the product for being damaged or not working. Some reviews even say it is cheaply constructed or has few fibers. What I received from the PlayLearn is superior in every way. There are many dazzling fibers which transmit light at the ends. The base is very showy, sturdy and colorful. It gives off considerable light in several pleasant changing colors. I strongly recommend this product from PlayLearn. I do not intend to leave it on for very long periods. Some reviews have stated it eats batteries. You might consider using rechargeable AAA batteries if you want to run it continuously for many hours
