I have never tried protein powders before but thought it would be a good way to get in some extra vegan protein while I'm upping weight exercises. I have leaned out since using this product and my abs and arms are so much more toned than before, yay! :D The taste is lovely, I have one scoop for breakfast blended with 170ml water, 1 banana and 200ml soy milk light and it is really nice and filling. I've also tried it mixed only with water and it still tastes good although the grainy texture is a bit more noticeable when mixed with water. I read some complaints about the texture saying it was like drinking dirt or sand but i didn't find the texture that bad at all. It has a very fine grainy texture but its not a hinderance to the flavour or overall drink and its a great source of protein. I will definitely buy more when i run out - i also bought the vanilla flavour but i like the cacao so much that i haven't opened the vanilla one yet. :)

i was sceptical at first however, love this protein. As a vegan I was shopping around and found this. Unlike other proteins this is very smooth with no awful taste like you get with whey proteins. There is no need to mix the powder in a blender, all i use is a shaker cup. I have mine with Almond milk and it tastes great. My only issue is the price. I like to wait until this goes down to around £25. When taking the protein twice a day the carton lasts only 1 week, making £35 very expensive for the quantity. To be honest £25 is still expensive. Nevertheless, it tastes really good and i would recommend it to not only those who are on a plant based diet but everyone who needs that added protein in take. hopefully, Garden of life will start selling bigger bags or containers. Another thing that was annoying there's more container then protein powder literally a joke.

It used to be the best protein I tried so far (have been using it for a year and a half) but their new "improved" recepie tastes horrible. The main ingredient is now pea protein instead of rice and the taste really differs. The consistency isn't sandy anymore, which didn't matter to me, I could always blend it with banana and almond milk, or top up my porridge with for flavour and nutrition, but i now just chug it down. Don't get it unless you like the taste of pea protein Shame as the nutria all contente is great

Great product. This is my preferred choice of protein. I have been using this for some time now and I do notice I recover much quicker from training when I take this. I love the ingredients in this product and as I am not a fan of animal based protein products this ticks all my boxes. The new formula is not grainy but it does froth up a bit more. I often just mix with water and its fine in texture and taste. I only wish it came in a bigger economy pack. As it doesn't have any artifical sweetners or added sugars you may not find it as sweet as some of those other products on the market but for me the content is more important so it doesn't bother me. Arguably the best vegan protein powder on the market. Only downside is serving's have reduced while price hasn't and sometimes it goes up too high in price to be economical. When that happens I have to buy sun warrior or bulk powders vegan protein, but garden of life plant based protein is my number 1 without a doubt

I wanted to like this, I really did but I couldn't... I will say from the outset that I both wanted and needed a milk free protein powder. As a cow's milk allergy sufferer it is almost impossible to find a flavoured protein powder which does not contain cow's milk. I was also keen to find something organic. I had tried pea protein before but it was certainly an acquired taste and one which was almost impossible to disguise in drinks and smoothies (which is primarily how I would have liked to have used it). Crucially, it was also very chalky/powdery and steadfastly refused to blend and/or dissolve fully in liquid no matter what ratio of powder to liquid/liquid ingredients that I used. This protein powder seemed to meet my requirements and then some! Not only organic and flavoured but also vegan. It certainly smelt nice but when I tried it, it had the same issues as the pea protein I had used previously. A strong taste which I did not find palatable and a chalky/powdery texture which stubbornly refused to dissolve properly. Again, I tried a variety of liquids and fruits and different ratios but I always found pockets of undissolved powder in my smoothies. Perhaps I would have been less aggrieved about this if I could tolerate the taste. I have practically all of the tub left. Not to mention a ton of pea protein as well! This is proving to be an expensive endeavour. Oh well, on with the search for the perfect organic, vegan/non cow's milk protein powder.

I first purchased this product for £25, it is now being sold for almost £50!!!! Double the price for the exact same product - which is only half filled to begin with. This is not even remotely worth the money and I urge everyone to purchase alternative brands. This is my original review prior to the price increase: Very disappointed in this product. The photograph which show the size of the product is EXTREMELY misleading, as it is only filled barely higher than half way, and I finished the whole thing in 2 weeks by having 1 scoop a day. For the price, I expected much more. It's a shame because the powder does taste nice, but I will not be repurchasing until the company addresses this issue.

I cannot believe this product has got some negative reviews. Yes.The texture is chalky.But tried it this morning with just a banana, date syrup and a generous serving of almond milk.Trust me guys,a drink cant get any tastier and creamier.Look at the ingredients .This product can only do good to the body.My biggest motivation to favour this when compared to the leading vegan protein powder brand is that they have zero,absolutely zero artificial "nasties".I even added some wheatgrass to it to add to the nutrition profile! Go for it and am sure you wont be disappointed! Wish these guys come up with Refill packaging as it could be more sustainable even when bought on a regular basis.Hope the sellers read this comment ;) !
