I sometimes feel like the telescoping handle back scratchers will start to shorten / retract right when I need it to stay. This is sturdy and fixed so I know it will stay right where I need it. The hardness bristles are large and firm, but they really scratch when you want it to. Of course, you can go lightly with it too, which feels great too. I like the long handle which makes it easy to reach most anywhere. I am very happy with this and will probably only use this type from now on.

I was somewhat surprised at how good this backscratcher is. I've had many that fall short, but I really like this one. I find it works better on bare skin than over a shirt (it tends to get tangled in the fabric) It gives a nice, aggressive "foot tappin" back scratch. It leaves the skin tingly. It also has a nice, long bamboo handle, which I really like. It's a good back scratcher and has served me well since I bought it in June. However, quality is questionable when it comes to durability. I dropped it about three feet onto a vinyl tile floor and it broke. I'll try to glue to back together in the morning. I'm not blaming the manufacturer. I guess I didn't realize how delicate bamboo can be.

I've had many back scratchers in my life. This one by far is the best. Every single thing you want in this sort of tool has been included in the design. The bristles are not flexible nor are they soft. The ends are rounded just enough to provide deep scratching without breaking the skin in my opinion. The large area of the bristle pad spreads out the pressure so it cannot scratch to hard yet allows you to get as deeply into the scratch that you want by varying the pressure that you apply. The curved handle is long enough and curved perfectly to reach the entire back. It is well crafted and sturdy. Were I to lose it somehow I would not hesitate to buy it again. If you want an aggressive but safe scratch this is the one. A more moderate or softer scratch is possible by applying lighter pressure. Spend the money. You've found it with this one! OMG...I've been searching for a replacement backscratcher for YEARS now, and just couldn't find a suitable one. I was looking for a longer than usual handle so my sore shoulders wouldn't hurt trying to reach that one spot that's itching like crazy! I also needed one that wouldn't leave scratch marks on my back because it's too sharp. And lastly, I wanted something durable that wouldn't break like my last one did. I used to have a standard length (18") backscratcher that was plastic, skinny arm, with a curved/cupped scratcher on the end that had sharp "teeth". Yeah it felt good but the decorative end broke off, and I'd been using it broken for years. I finally decided I'd start looking for another one. Well that went on for years. Then I needed a backscratcher in two spots I sit in, in my house. I got tired of having to get up with an uncontrollable itch on my back, to walk the length of my house just to get the scratcher, so I decided to buy another one. Well this one fit the bill to say the least! It's PERFECT! The bamboo prongs are skinny enough to give that fingernail scratch you want, but rounded enough not to leave marks or the possibility of drawing blood. They're COMFORTING!!! Just absolutely perfect!!! Now that I realize I can use this in the shower! I might buy another one just for the shower too! And that long 22" arm is a GOD-SEND!!! I get sharp pain in both my shoulders if I reach too far back behind me. This helps with that. It's SO COMFORTABLE AND COMFORTING!! I love it!!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!! You will NOT be disappointed!! Everyone I know is getting one of these for Christmas!!! They will LOVE it!

This is the best back scratcher I have ever used. With other ones the itch keeps coming back but with this one it takes the itch away, it’s gives great relief.

Exactly as described, not too sharp to scratch, not too dull. Wide, long handle, very convenient. Saves when no one is around to scratch between the shoulder blades.

The wooden handle is durable and solid, i can apply decent force and its fine. Plastic brush end is surprisingly hard and the perfect level of sharpness. Doesnt break skin but definitely hits the spot.
