Amazon Echo Dot (newest model) - Vibrant sounding speaker with Alexa+ Early Access, Great for bedrooms, dining rooms and offices, Glacier White

This is an awesome product! We linked this to our Echo show 8 and it is AWESOME. I love being able to be hands free while cleaning and tell Alexa to play music or set a timer. I used this too to make an announcement and it worked so well! IT doesn't take up too much space and honestly it looks pretty cool anyways so I don't mind it. It's very simple in it's look with only a few buttons but that was all I needed as I usually just do completely hands free and ask Alexa to turn down the music or things like that. The sound quality is honetsly pretty good. I enjoy that Alexa recognizes my voice and can tailor stuff to me. I bought this when it was on sale and I think it is worth every penny on it's own but for sure a must if you have an echo show 8 and have multiple rooms in the house you want to listen to music or have Alexa to be your assistant! edited to add: this also picks up on you talking VERY well. I was in my living room with the door closed for my bedroom and tried to see if it could hear me when I said Alexa play christmas music and it did! It also can detect a whisper so it is great at figuring out how loud or quiet she needs to be when replying.

the sound on this one is actually really good for the size, clear vocals and a little more bass than I expected. setup was quick, and it responds fast when I talk to it, even when music’s playing. the design looks cleaner and more modern, like something you actually want on a nightstand or countertop. super handy for timers, music, weather, and just controlling stuff without pulling out your phone. honestly feels like a small upgrade that makes the day run smoother.

This is my 1st echo device. I use my phone constantly to look up everything and thought this would be so much easier and it is!! I love it. I have an Amazon account, who doesn’t, so when ordering check the box for easy set up. I opened the box, plugged it in and the system started running and connected to my wifi seamlessly. All I did was read each page and press continue as system also synced to my phone when I downloaded the app. I’m older so being able to set this up by myself, no grand kids around, was wonderful. Amazon has the best interface of all shopping apps for sure, although streaming could use some help, haha. I’ve been using the Alexa echo dot non stop, music has a beautiful sound and I looked up a recipe, weather and I don’t know why I waited so long to get one. Great buys right now too. Worth the price and small size that fits anywhere you can plug in.

This is a really fun Alexa and works great in most rooms. It’s really easy to set up and the voice control and recognition works great. The speaker itself when listening to music isn’t too great or very loud so I would recommend it for a smaller room, but it over all sounds pretty good.

I'm mostly very happy with these two Echo Dots. I bought these for my elderly mother to help her around the house, keep her safe, and keep her entertained. I set up a group of Dots so that she has speakers throughout the house. Here are my likes and dislikes so far: LIKES Set up is SUPER easy after you install the Alexa app onto your phone Offers Alexa Emergency Assist which can call for help when needed (subscription, but cheap) Controls on the device are very simple Sound quality and clarity is pretty good for music and voice Alexa is mostly very quick and responsive Product looks cool and is well made Multiple speakers can work in unison DISLIKES App is difficult to navigate (e.g., finding My Devices is not intuitive at all) Multiple speakers don't always act in unison for some reason, even when grouped When you say "Alexa?" there is no audible response (a little 'ping' like Google Assistant would be better) Children can easily change the wake-word from "Alexa" to something else. Meaning, wake‑word “locking” does not exist and this is actually quite dangerous for older users who subscribe to Alexa Emergency Assist. I REALLY wish I could lock the wake-word for safety reasons.

So simple to set up and use. Only got around to buying one when I needed an "extra pair of hands" during a period of limited mobility. Things that would have been out of reach could be activated on my voice commands. Add smart light bulbs and/or smart switches, & things are suddenly easier. Highly recommend for seniors or mobility challenged people who can't bend and reach or move around as easily as they once did. Product seems to be good quality & is fun to use. Like it so much, I just bought a second one for another room.

I have owned several versions of this, all of which worked well and connected easily. For whatever reason, this Dot wouldn't connect to my wireless network. Finally my granddaughter figured it out and the Dot works fine now. Great product.

I have had several of these Echo Dots and it is amazing how much it can do for such a compact device. The sound quality is clear and surprisingly good for its size, especially for music, podcasts, and audiobooks. Alexa is super responsive and makes everyday tasks so much easier. She is very useful at setting timers and alarms, checking the weather, controlling smart home devices, and answering random questions. I also love being able to make announcements, create reminders, and sync it with my other Echo devices around the house. Setup is quick and easy, and it blends in nicely with any room without taking up much space. For the price, the Echo Dot is an excellent value and a great introduction to smart home technology. Highly recommend! Five Stars.
