My daughter has used this to help cook, do dishes, play on the counter up high where her brother can’t reach all the things. This thing has been a part of so many memories in the kitchen and beyond! It is very sturdy, I don’t have to worry about my daughter falling or my one year old knocking it over. It is beautifully made and the color is absolutely gorgeous! If you are on the fence about this product, go for it! You won’t be sorry! Review: I researched many different kitchen helpers and this was the clear winner. It came almost completely assembled and was ready to use within a few minutes. It is sturdy and stable, the latching back keeps my little from losing her balance and falling out the back. It wipes right up when she spills on it while "helping". The folding aspect really reduces its footprint in our smaller kitchen. The color is beautiful and no issues with paint that others have mentioned, so they must have resolved that issue. We haven't used the white or black boards yet, so their usefulness is TBD. Great product! *knives in photo were moved before use*

I can't say this loud enough: If you buy from an Amazon seller, check that the stool can be assembled at both heights BEFORE the return window expires. We absolutely LOVED this kitchen helper. It was perfect for my child and we used it daily for 8 months. Several weeks ago, we attempted to move the stool to the lower height setting. After 3 hours of frustrating efforts, we gave up. I emailed Guidecraft's customer service. They sent instructions and we tried again. No luck. I emailed them and provided photographs of the helper. They said it was defective - the holes for the lower height setting had been drilled in the wrong locations and didn't align with the platform, so the bolts couldn't be inserted (see photo with red arrow). They told us to reach out to the seller. Amazon Customer Service helped me get in contact with the Amazon seller.....who then replied that I needed to talk to Amazon Customer Service. Finally, today, after speaking with 8 people over the course of 3 weeks, Tanmoy N. discovered that the product was still under warranty. Guidecraft later emailed us and replaced our stool, which we very much appreciated. If you're thinking about buying this item on Amazon, take the time to check the stool assembly at both heights. Another thing to note is that the original nets don't fit when the stool is lowered, so you have to buy the expansion kit with taller nets from Amazon or Guidecraft.

(1 YEAR UPDATE: I still adore this thing and wish I bought it earlier. After more than a year, it has a few minor nics from my son stabbing it with a fork or something along those lines. It's very study, just 1 of the top side pieces is loose from constant wiggling. It doesn't affect the stability at all though. We never fold it up, we push it into our pantry when not in use. My now 3.5yo still uses it every day.) This is gorgeous!! The limited edition blue is a perfect mint color. It matches my home perfectly. I saw one little nic in the paint, so I may hunt around for a small paint pen/marker/can/bottle in the same color to fix that up. It came mostly built and I only needed to add the 8 little feet piece at the very bottom. I built this while my 2yo climbed all over me. Easy and quick. Some photos make it seem bulky, but my kitchen is large and imthis doesn't seem bulky at all. I have plenty of room to walk between the stool and my kitchen island. If you have a tiny kitchen, you may want to check measurements, but in larger kitchens it doesn't seem bulky. My 2yo has been trying anything to clinb up onto the counters to "help" make food or coffee. Now I don't have to worry about him bringing unstable kids chairs, piles of books, toys, etc. to climb on. This way he also has his own space on the island counter (not the space pictured, since it's a bit too close to the stove). I'll clear off the whole section and put some play food there for him when we aren't using it as a "help mommy mix" station. Main points: it is SAFE, stable, very well built and my son loves it! I will update this review if we see any issues in the future.

For the price point, this is not worth it. We bought this particular one because we wanted something that looked nice in our kitchen. However, the paint was uneven, the top part of the keeper was loose from the beginning, and the overall quality seemed poor. We ended up returning it and opting for a more sturdy learning tower in the same price range.
