I have purchased many different teleprompters and this so far is one of my favorites. Great Value, nice quality, easy to use design, and functions well with the included remote.

We needed something simple to use and budget-friendly for our internal video production efforts at the consulting firm I work for. This allows you to use it as easily with a 12" iPad as an iPhone. It's easy to setup, and I've used it with a 1Dx camera and a Sony A7ii and with various lenses. Worth it if you're looking for a teleprompter.

The NEEWER Basics X12B has excellent build quality — sturdy, professional, and looks great on set. I have zero complaints about the physical teleprompter itself; it’s definitely well made and worth the price. However, the included app is trash. It’s clunky, unreliable, and honestly unusable for real production. You end up needing to use a third-party teleprompter app just to get things running smoothly — which then means you can’t even use the included remote, since it only works with NEEWER’s own app. If NEEWER could fix or completely rebuild their app (and make the remote compatible with others), this would be an easy 5-star product. Until then, it’s a solid 4 stars for build quality alone.

I like it and use it all the time now and have a Sony A6700 mounted in it. I went with this one for its size. I picked up a 14 inch mini HD monitor I use with it with no problem. When I am not using the prompter I can flip up the mini monitor and use it and mover it around to anyplace I want. You can leave it in place and use it like to. The prompter software is lacking it has no transparent background setting so you can over lay the text over live video so I am using other software and then the remote will not work with the other software so keep that in mine if you want to over lay it over live video as I we d all the time.

I liked the quality of the product. However, I ended up returning it because it requires a camera with a protruding lens. I wanted to use it with my iPhone recording video, but found no way to make it work. If you have the right camera, I recommend this product

I hate it when companies waste the time of its customers: the instruction booklet that comes with this product provides instruction on those aspects a 6 year old could figure out (in 20 different languages); and no instruction on those aspects that allow you to put the product to use - like: the features of the app, how to secure the camera, position your tablet, removing the film off the inner reflective glass, and what the _uc_ is the purpose of those 2 side arms! Prepare yourself to spend considerable time on YouTube to obtain these answers.

I love this prompter. It's small, sets up in seconds, and is perfect for my Canon C70 and my smaller camera, a Canon R6II. Coupled with my Samsung A19+ tablet, it's a great teleprompter for on-the-go or in the studio.

An sich sehr zufrieden. Macht was es soll. Kopplung mit Bluetooth funktioniert anstandslos mit meinen iOS Geräten. Die unterkonstruktion könnte kompakter gestaltet sein. Ist etwas friemelig wieder in den Koffer zu bekommen

This teleprompter has made my talking to camera roles so much easier. It comes in a nice attache case that everything packs down into for storage when not being needed. There is a remote control included but it only works with iPads or Android tablets. I have a Microsoft Surface Pro so I used a Logitech R800 presenter remote instead. You can usually program different buttons for different functions within the teleprompter software, and the free one I got from the Windows store allowed any buttons to be linked to whatever functions. I had mine set up for stop / start / rewind and adjust speed, but it could be programmed for other functions. The unit is easy to set up. The tray comes out just over 20cm so was deep enough to take my Surface Pro 5, and should work with other regular sized tablets like iPads and Galaxy Tabs. There is a movable arm on each side which you can use for attaching lights or microphones on either the tripod mount or a cold show mount, although since the tripod mount has a female threaded fitting and most lights and microphone mounts also have a female threaded fitting, it would have been good if they'd included a male-male adapter as I had no way of attaching any of my devices to these arms. Underneath there are many tripod mounting screw positions of two different sizes to make it easy to position it correctly on your tripod. The hood on the back of the glass ties nicely around the lens on my Nikon DSLR and there are no reflections during use. The lens on my camera sat pretty low behind the screen, which means when I'm looking at the centre of the glass it appeared as though I was looking slightly above the camera. It would be good if it could be adjustable in height so you can position the lens in the centre of the glass. Overall very happy with this purchase.
