Great Headset for FPS
Didn't leave a review for these when I purchased them in 2024, but I would like to now. Late to the party. With the expectations that no one will read this. I'm mainly leaving this review because I didn't know what I had until it was gone. I've been happily using these for the last two years. I play mainly Counter Strike 2, but have used these playing WoW and some other solo games. The sound has been great throughout all of these experiences. I have a big head (7 7/8) and the fit of the BlackSharks was great. They were very comfortable for long periods of time. The faux leather pads got a little sweaty, but I could have changed those if I wanted to. On Windows 11, these were plug and play setup. The microphone quality is good. I wouldn't use it to record voice over for work, but I've never had issues communicating in game, Zoom meetings, or Discord chat. For CS2 - generally, I can distinguish sounds if there are a number happening at once. If both teams show up and start firing it gets a little muddy, but still not horrible. The directionality of sound is great. I can determine direction and distance of footsteps/noises quite well. Last year we got a dog and he likes to mill around my feet and computer and has gotten hung up on the headset cable a few times (my fault for not having better cable management - not his or Razer's). I started getting weird static in the headphones and found a tear in the cable at the base of the headset. Currently I'm trying to find a set of headphones that live up to these. Tried HyperX Cloud 2 and the sound was super muddy and the directionality/distance was inconsistent. Going to try a Philips setup (mainly for the replaceable cable), but if those don't work out I'll just get another set of BlackSharks. Both the Cloud 2 and Philips setups are at least 2x the cost of the Razers now, so I'm probably not making great life choices.

Don't hesitate to buy, great product for a reasonable price.
Excellent sound quality and very comfortable. The cord length is just right, not too long and not too short. The whole design of this headset is great. I would definitely recommend these for anyone look for an inexpensive yet quality headset.

Great headset at a awesome price
Excellent headset the speakers are very good and the microphone work good. Just plug into USB and ready to use I discoevered a issue today while trying to get Razer Synaspse to detect the headset and Razer said this headset is not compatible. So can not make adjustments to mic input cause kind of low on the pickup. Maybe Version 3 is the better choice

Wish the mic lasted.
Sound was great and noise reduction for listening was good as well. Sound quality was good overall and clear. Was using this for a call center to block out some of the other workers. Would love to keep and buy again however the microphone seemed quite and eventually stopped working all together. I would otherwise recommend as headphones.

Cord is awful / Green cord model
I bought it on sale after my Corsairs broke after around 2 years of daily work use for $45, overall the mic quality, general construction and sound was pretty decent considering that price so I would give it a 8/10, there wasn't any peeling or degradation like most headsets after a few months but the reason this headset gets such a low score from me is the cord, specifically the cord sleeve.. First off I want to mention this seems to be only an issue with the model I got, the one that comes with the green polymer cords sleeve. I've owned several wired headsets in the past from Razer and other brands and none of them have been like this they are normally braided metal or rubber this cord sleeve was textured rubber I haven't seen on any other Razer model. Out of the box the cord wanted to tangle and collapse in on itself no matter how many times I would try to untangle it it kept wrapping back up on itself even before wearing it. Then once I started wearing it the tangling got even worse, daily I would untangle it but the cord sleeve was twisting not the "cable" itself meaning no matter how I straightened /untangled the cord out the sleeve would make it twist back up on itself almost immediately. 4 months later It has stopped working it its entirety, if this model was wireless at this price point I would genuinely give it 5 stars. But the daily fighting with the cord, having to stretch it back out and eventually it just stopping working completely due to that makes this a 1 star product.

An incredible headset for the price!
I've been using the Razer BlackShark V2 X for a few days now, and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. For anyone looking for a high-quality gaming headset without breaking the bank, this is the one to get. Beyond the audio performance, the headset is also incredibly comfortable. The memory foam earcups are soft and don't cause any discomfort, even after hours of gaming. It's lightweight and feels very durable. Overall, I highly recommend the Razer BlackShark V2 X. It’s an amazing value, providing features and performance you'd expect from a much more expensive headset.

Quality and affordable headset!
This is a solid and affordable headset. Compared to another $30 gaming headset I was using before buying this Razer headset, the Razer has a solid feel, smooth and comfortable ear muffs, and a lightweight feel. Sound quality and mic work well. Would recommend.

Awesome wired headset for office work. (presumably also for gaming) The mic is exceptional, outperforming all my other headsets in side-to-side comparison, including the Barracuda X. Its the most comfortable headset I've ever put on, period. The ear cubs are deep and large. Clamp force is pretty light. And the set itself is very lightweight. Its all plastic construction but feels really solid to use. Matte finish. Comes with carry case and two cables, both non-generic. Sound for music is ok, great for the price, but easily outperformed by headsets twice the price. I'm no audiophile so its hard to be specific, but I might say the mids were muddy and treble under-pronounced. Sounded good on video calls but just "good" for detailed music. Probably good for games. Noise isolation is very good but there is no noise-cancelling technology, to be clear. The whole package speaks of quality and the $ value is very, very impressive.

Update: Ater 3 years the cable is literally deteriorating.. It looks like I ran over it a bunch of times, but that's the thing, I haven't. I've noticed its getting progressively bad even up to where it connects and the speakers. Just to say as I never reviewed these so figured I would after seeing a bunch of reviews giving them low marks. These are excellent headphones. I have had these since 2023. Still sound fantastic. Have not had any of the problems mentioned by others. Including the cable. I take care of my stuff and I don't run over wires with my chair. If I have any cons about the headphones is the lack of Synapse software for configuration etc. But you really don't need any drivers. You do need a driver to enable the 7.1 sound, kinda weird, but it is what it is... Never have problems talking to others, enjoying music or playing games with them. Also I wear glasses so after a while they hurt my ears but that is after quite some time. I've had HyperX headphones and stuff and they all died quickly even with great care. If I ever get another set of headphones I will likely buy Razer again.

Execelente aun cuando es la versión anterior, me sirve bastante para mí trabajo, especialmente por la supresión de ruido.
