Building Construction: Principles, Materials, and Systems (What's New in Trades & Technology)

I read this book cover to cover 3 times and it helped me pass the ARE. I liked it so much that I gave my two copies to friends who are still taking the ARE and bought a hardcover copy for my personal library. The book is very thorough and explained many details of construction in ways that are easy to remember and understand. I've had my fair share of reference and exam prep books, but this one is by far the best and most comprehensive of them all. Highly recommend it to those who are taking the ARE!

Arrive ontime and in good condition. I bought this book as a requirement for a college course at UAB. So far it seems to have a thorough understanding of the construction industry coupled with lots of practical information.

Rough shape. But if it saves me $80 to rent I’ll take it. I also want to post these pictures incase there are any problems when I send it back. I don’t want to be blamed for the condition of this thing.

Great book highly recommend if you are taking methods and materials construction class . Very informal book and highly detailed in specific materials that are used in construction

this is a very good text book for the curious architect the wants to go deeper in to the fundamentals. if i was teaching i would use this book even for studio.
