This was really easy to use. My house was built in 1980 and has horrible popcorn texture on the walls. We were doing some work on removing the texture and were treating it as if it had asbestos in it just incase. But that got really exhausting having to make sure everything was super clean and not contaminating anything. Them realized I could easily do one of these tests to figure out if it had asbestos or not. I was skeptical about how complicated it may be since you have to send it into a lab. But decided to go ahead and try it. It was super simple and easy and we got super fast results. We even did it while under the covid 19 quarantine so I didnt expect quick results but we still did. I'm glad we did because our test came back negative and we dont have to take all these safety precautions like we were and has made our lives much easier.

Middle of a floor demo when I thought I spotted Asbestos. Most local services couldn't make it out for 4-5 days and up-charge the bejesus out of doing this same exact thing. Local contractors will all collect and send a sample to the lab. Save yourself the time and money, and buy this kit.Our kit did not come with the "collection bag", so we used a ziplock with a sticky to denote the Sample Number. Instructions are easy to follow. We sent this to the lab through UPS 2-day with a tracking number. Sample arrived on a Tuesday and results were emailed on Thursday. Results are clear and easy to read. Highly recommend this kit.

Received lab result after 48 hours as promised. Result showed 2% of Chrysotile. We called Asbestos abatement company to get an estimate. The guy comes in and asks right as he is coming in how old the house is. We tell him that it was build in 1994. The guy who is making a living removing Asbestos tells us that it is highly unlikely that we have Asbestos. He measures our ceilings and later that day quotes us close to 10K for removal. Before he leaves he tells us to call a guy he trusts from a local lab and confirm that we do have Asbestos before we spent 10k on removal.We call the guy and he tells us how to collect the samples and provide to him. 2 days later he calls and says he has been looking at the samples for hours and cannot find anything (we told him about the results from this lab). He suggests to have a colleague look at the samples just to make sure without charging us extra. The second guy also doesn't see anything. At this time, the local Asbestos guy almost begs us to have a third lab test the samples at his expense because he feels he owes us (since you know that lab found something and now he doubts his and his colleague's skills).We agree to the third lab but insist on paying for the testing. The third lab comes back with no or less than 1% Asbestos (less than 1% is unregulated and considered negative I think). Not an expert myself obviously.In the end, I am grateful for honest local experts. I guess some things are just better obtained locally.

Be aware that the 48 hour clock starts after the company receives your sample. And if you want timely delivery of your sample, it's going to cost you. In my case, shipping my sample from Florida to the lab in Anaheim, CA cost me $7.75 for 2-day delivery. Not the company's fault, but something to consider.The enclosed form and instructions are relatively simple though there are a couple of nagging typos that make you wonder about the company's attention to detail. I did get my results on time, though, in a professional-looking format.

I ordered the test before doing any ceiling work in my house. I got the results in the promised 48 hours. Unfortunately, the PDF file was scrambled and missing some data points when I opened it.I contacted seller and they immediately went to work resolving my issue. We where not sure how this had happened as we both are using the latest software, so they converted my report to a JPG image file and sent it to me.That worked perfectly!They do a great job, and stand by there product. I would not hesitate using Nirtue Labs in the future.....Thank you!

The called for a TWO BUSINESS day results AFTER they receive it. I got the test on a THURSDAY and quickly took the samples that day (popcorn ceiling). The kit came with mask, gloves, sample collection bag, and clear instructions IMO. I took the sample, filled out the form, and had it FedEx overnighted. It was delivered on Friday morning and I received the results on MONDAY afternoon. Results were emailed, clear to read, and now I have quick peace of mind to continue forward with my home project. Would definitely recommend.

When I sent my two samples in, USPS sent one package on a detour to Hawaii. I wish I'd used a faster more reliable shipping method.For the result that has come back so far, I got a breakdown of why it has asbestos, and how much: vermiculite, 3% asbestos. Very helpful.Also, for the record - popcorn ceilings are an insidious curse. Dangerous to remove, so if you want your ceiling to match new areas or repairs you have to ADD MORE.

I purchased this product because I had some old insulation in my bedroom that I wanted to replace, but because it was so old (I'm in a rental, and it was there when I moved in years ago), I wanted to make sure it was safe for me to do so. Everything in the package was clearly explained, and after I mailed it off, I received my result via email very quickly. Very pleased, and will recommend.
