Focus issue ruins camera
It worked fine at first, and I was just learning how to get good results. Then, the camera went wonky, and the focus between the left/right eyes now does not match. One is in focus and the other isn't (the blurry eye seems to switch back and forth depending on distance). Perhaps this will be fixed with a future firmware update, but for now the camera is pretty much useless. TBC, the camera was never dropped or even roughly handled or transported - used on a gimbal, stored in a case. Literally, one day it worked fine and the next day it didn't.

Impressive gadget
When I was a child, I owned a 3d master, it enabled me to see 3d stereo images. I was in love with it, owned it for many years and bought so many films for it. Somehow, some years back, it vanished with no trace!! I was so happy to see the Qoocam ego 3d stereo camera being offered for sale, it reminded me of my 3d master I previously owned especially with that red viewer color!!! I read some reviews and they were all positive, so I decided to get one. I have never owned a 3d stereo camera before, this was my first and oh boy was I impressed. I could not wait for Qoocam to fully charge, turned it on and snapped away my first picture, my dear cat sitting behind the window and looking at me outside. Looking through the viewer and seeing the beautiful realistic clear and fine image result, I could not be more impressed!!! I updated to the latest firmware which can be downloaded from Qoocam's official site, downloaded it to my PC, transferred it to a sim card and inserted the sim card in Qoocam 3d camera, it did all the rest automatically!!! It was so easy to upgrade and operate. Qoocam 3d stereo camera is my favorite purchase in many years.

It is a poorly designed toy.
BUYER BEWAREBattery dies very quickly. Maybe 10-15 minutes. Recharged it twice to shoot 30 photos and a 4 min. video. Also the MacOS software does not work. Could not download any photos. Kept saying missing metadata and would not open files. The files I did open directly in PhotoShop were horrible. Printing a approx. a 3x6 image and it was so poor quality. And to top it off, to return the product they will charge you for the return. So if you are willing to buy for a toy to give to your kid for a few laughs and then put it in their drawer. Ok maybe. But if you though you were getting a 3D camera that might have some purpose. Think again.

simplest 3D video camera on the market, click and record.Kandao have a couple downloadable app's that will encode so you can share to YouTube or as spatial video for Apple Vision

Overheating problem
My Kandao got overheated after about 20 minutes of usage. This is a real problem with the Kandao that they need to solve. I would not recommend purchasing this version of Kandao.
